Lincoln, New Hampshire–Loon Mountain has teamed up with Burton Snowboards to create a unique snowboard park for the upcoming 2005/2006 season. This season, Loon Mountain will offer the Burton Progression Park that is specially designed for the beginner to intermediate level riders.

“Loon’s parks are reaching a higher level this season than ever before. This year, not only will Loon have its main park dialed in and constantly maintained, but also will offer different levels of parks ranging from beginner to expert terrain, “, says Youth Marketing Manager Mike Bettera. “For the upcoming season, the park we are most excited about is the new Burton Progression Park. This park will tie in snowsports lessons with the terrain park and this specific feature can only be found at Loon Mountain.”

The Loon Mountain Park has also undergone reconstruction to aid in an earlier opening date for the park. Dirt work has been done to increase opening time and lower the amount of snow needed for construction by finding the best jump lines from past years ‘ parks, mapping out the jumps with stakes, and placing dirt mounds where the take-offs and landings will be constructed.

New Features in Loon ‘ s parks for this winter include a new A-Frame box, additional entry-level rails and boxes plus new work to the wall ride and an upgrade to the sound systems.

New events the LMP will be hosting this season are the Forum Young Blood contest, the Rome jib contest, and the Transworld Trans-AM contest.
