Burton Snowboards is excited to announce that Billy Anderson will come on board as Burton’s new Senior Brand Director. Billy will officially start his new role at Burton Headquarters in Vermont on September 3rdand report directly to VP of Marketing, Anne-Marie Dacyshyn.
“We’re extremely excited to welcome Billy to the Burton family,” says Jake Burton, Founder and CEO of Burton Snowboards. “Burton and Billy have a longstanding relationship that goes back to the days when Billy’s younger brother Jeffy was an iconic member of the Burton pro team before his tragic passing in 2003. Like Jeffy, Billy’s passion for and impact on the sport has been non-stop. He has continued to push snowboarding since his days as a grom. I can’t wait to see what he’ll bring to Burton.”
Formerly the VP of Snowboarding at Volcom, Billy will play a critical role in driving marketing initiatives for the world’s leading snowboard brand. His two decades of experience in the snowboarding industry will serve him well at Burton, where he will oversee all brand and retail marketing initiatives and staff, focusing on what’s best for retailers, riders and riders at heart. Further, to carry out Burton’s legacy of creating world-class marketing collateral, Billy will also work closely with the Sales, Product, Team Management and Creative groups on a global level.
