Here’s the lowdown on the Burton riders visiting Santa Monica, Brea, and Costa Mesa:

Trevor Andrew is all about style on and off the hill. Lounging with hip-hop beats on his headphones, he rocks the latest Burton Analog clothing apparel head to toe. Based in Whistler, B.C. Trevor is also a globetrotter, making personal appearances at all the big riding events in Europe, Japan and the USA.

Romain DeMarchi brings snowboarding back to where the pioneers left it. Originally from Switzerland, Romain pushes his riding everyday on the mountain and breaks the rules that obstruct his way. In Absinthe Film’s “Vivid”, Romain has a killer video part that’s over four minutes long — way longer than the standard snowboarding film part.

Keir Dillon is one of the most explosive riders in snowboarding. Cover shots of 15-foot McTwists, podium appearances at the US Open and X Games and a stand-out film part with Mack Dawg Productions have made Keir one of the most visible Burton Global riders. Look for Keir at the top halfpipe contests this season.

Dave Downing is one of most diverse, dedicated and recognized riders in the world. Downing is a legend in the snowboarding world and has a tremendous impact on the industry. Dave continues to push himself and the sport to the next level.

Shannon Dunn’s long list of victories includes wins at almost every major halfpipe contest. Last season she won two Grand Prixs and placed 5th at the Olympics. During her career, she’s won the X Games, several US Opens and a Bronze at the 98 Olympics. She was also one of the founders of Boarding for Breast Cancer, which has raised over one million dollars since its inception. Despite all of her success and impact on the industry, Shannon’s true focus has always been to keep riding fun.

Victoria Jealouse is arguably the best female backcountry rider in the world, conquering the steepest faces and shoots in the Alaskan and Canadian backcountry. She has won the coveted Big Mountain Rider Award at Transworld Magazine’s Rider Choice Awards two years running. Victoria is in her element in the backcountry. Her prowess in the steeps and shoots is unmatched.

Ross Powers has won every major halfpipe title in snowboarding. At the 2002 Olympics Ross dropped into the Olympic Halfpipe with the biggest Backside and Frontside Airs ever seen in competition. Ross soared 19 feet out of the pipe on his first hit, winning the gold medal and leading the first US medal sweep at the Winter Olympics since 1956.

Gigi Rüf has evolved from a newcomer breaking on the scene to an established and respected professional. He spent most of last season on the down low, hitting secret backcountry kickers. Catcch him in the latest snowboarding films “Happy Hour” and “Vivid”.

JP Solberg is the best up and coming kid out of Norway since Terje. He’s perfected one of the smoothest styles in the snowboard industry. JP rides everything from big mountain terrain to parks, making it look as easy as walking down the street. Check him out at the Air and Style contest this winter.

Shaun White has taken the snowboard world by storm. His peers no longer consider him a kid phenomenon, but rather the future of snowboarding. Shaun dominates all aspects of freestyle snowboarding competitions. He’s won the halfpipe, slopestyle, big air, quarterpipe and jib jam events at various big name contests.
