Duxbury, Mass. (January, 2007) — Riding the simple concept of one-helmet, all season, all non-motorized sports, Bern has established itself in just two short years as the only core grass roots head protection company in the game.
To cement relationships with three of Bern’s original snowboarders, the brand stepped up and inked deals with Scotty Lago, Seth Wescott and Lindsey Jacobellis. Bern will be working with all three riders for years to come and releasing signature models for each in the next year.
“We are really excited to make it official with three pros who have really helped us introduce our products to the world, said Josh Walker Marketing manager.
Scotty is Bern’s top young freestyler. His style and all around approach to shredding is one of a kind. The kid is the real deal, and with two TWS covers at only 19, the sky is literally the limit for him. “His style is just so unique and smooth, said Walker.
“What can you really say about Seth Wescott? said Dennis Leedom, Bern founder. “He is one of the most prolific snowboarders of all time, he has podiumed in every discipline there is over the last 5 years. We all saw Seth go to Italy and make his 8 Mile moment happen, but he has been quietly winning every race for years, while banging out first descents in AK every spring. The Mt. Baker Banked Slalom is fixed in his sights, as well as 2010, Vancouver. Seth never ceases to amaze us. On the hill, in the water, in front of thousands, he just slays it in life.
“We have been behind Lindsey since day one, continues Walker, “Bottom line, she is the most successful boarder-crosser of all time, and she just won the world championship again. She is a powerhouse, and she is going to quiet the critics over the next few years. We look forward to seeing it happen.
