The Bear Mountain Golf Course went through extensive improvements lastseason and has added further upgrades this season including a new green andnew tee box on hole 7 and a new tee box on hole 9. And even with theseimprovements, the green fees will stay the same as they were last season.The course is in the best shape in several years. “Our goal is to improvethe quality and playability of the course every season. We expect thatgolfers will truly enjoy the Bear Mountain Golf Course this summer,” statedBear Mountain Golf Course Superintendent, Jack Cullar.

The pristine setting of the Bear Mountain Golf Course provides a tranquilatmosphere for golfers of all abilities. The course is traditionally openthrough early November. It is a common fact that golf balls fly higher andfarther at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The mild summer breezes, blue skies,green pine trees and fresh mountain air create a paradise in the wildernessand a relaxing day on the greens. The 9-hole mountain-style course is set atthe base of Bear Mountain Resort in the Moonridge meadow. The Bear MountainClub House offers a pro shop, the Club House Grill, plus club and cartrentals. The Bear Mountain Golf Course also offers golfers the perfect opportunity topractice driving and chipping the ball. Golfers can stop by the drivingrange and hit a bucket of balls before their tee-time or drop by anytime topractice their swing. The 300-yard driving range is located on the north endof the golf course. The range hut can be seen from Club View Drive andparking is available off to the side of the street, next to the sixthfairway. Driving range hours fluctuate throughout the season; however, withuse of the golf ball dispenser it is possible to practice until dusk,weather permitting. Golf ball tokens can be purchased at the pro shop duringnormal operation hours.
