Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 21st, when the 10th Anniversary of Hot Dawgz & Hand Railsreturns to Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake, Ca. The gates open at 9:00 a.m. and it’s free to the public to enjoy live DJ’s, giveaways, and a great view of the competition.

 

This winter kick-off party has something for all ages. Guests can participate in fun games and walk away with tons of giveaways from Red Bull, GoPro, Electric, SkullCandy, ThirtyTwo and other snowboard brands at the Vendor booth city located in the Scene. The competition is easily viewed from Bear Mountain’s 13,000 SQ FT deck and world famous Beach Bar located just a few steps away from all of the action.

 

The competition, presented by Bear Mountain and Red Bull, features 40 top professional snowboarders from all over the country. It will begin at 2 p.m. where 130 tons of ice that has been chipped into man-made snow and creative, new urban-style steel features will be unveiled. These features will be available for the public to ride in the Red Bull Plaza at Bear Mountain this winter.

 

“The 10th Anniversary is going to be bigger and better than ever,” says Zak Hale, professional snowboarder and pro team rider for Bear Mountain. “Bear Mountain is the perfect place to get people excited about the upcoming winter season while showing off this years up-and-coming professional snowboarders.” Judges will include Bear Mountain Professional Team Riders: Joe Sexton, JP Walker, Chris Bradshaw, Scott Stevens and special guest snowboard legend Dave Downing.

 

Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails is free to the public and offers one last chance to get the best price of the year on your 2013/2014 winter season pass for Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. With the option to ride either mountain, you get double the fun for the price of one! The season pass office will be open at the event from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The savings extend to the Ice Box sports shop with the annual 20 percent-off sales on 2013-2014 winter gear plus 50 percent off selected outerwear from last season.
