ANTON “GUN” GUNNARSSON TEAMS UP WITH MACBETH FOOTWEAR
Carlsbad, Calif. February 24th, 2010 – Macbeth, a Carlsbad, CA-based footwear, apparel, and accessory lifestyle brand, has teamed up with pro snowboarder, Anton “Gun” Gunnarsson.
Anton Gunnarsson is a 24-year-old professional snowboarder from Omeå, Sweden. Part of Nitro Snowboards European team, Anton has been working hard on various film projects that showcase his creative riding. With multiple clothing collaborations under his belt, Anton is no rookie when it comes to style, which is why he is teaming up with Macbeth Shoes.
“I am really excited to be working with Macbeth” says Anton Gunnarsson. “Macbeth shoes are perfect for when I’m off the slopes. I am not the “typical” snowboarder; I’m rocking it in other directions… In style and with my connection with rock n roll, metal music and brands that are focusing on artists and bands like Macbeth in this case! Macbeth Footwear was Co-founded in 2002 by platinum selling musician Tom DeLonge, known for fronting such acts as Blink-182, Box Car Racer and Angels & Airwaves and longtime friend and ex-concert promoter, Jon Humphrey who was also the General Manager and helped found such brands as ADIO footwear, Hawk Shoes and Planet Earth Products. With rock music as their muse, DeLonge and Humphrey assembled a team of talented individuals to develop fashion-forward products that were inspired by the music scene and the action sports lifestyle of Southern California that they grew up in. Since 2002, Macbeth has been at the forefront of collaborative efforts with musicians, athletes and artists, creating a blended culture of products for everyday people.
