anon optics, the growing goggle corporation with ties to Burton Snowboards, has restructured and added to its internal department.
Formerly, the anon brand was part of R.E.D corp. Now, R.E.D and anon will separate so that both brands receive the individual attention they deserve. anon will remain a stand-alone brand within Burton’s corporate development group. According to Dennis Jenson, Executive Vice President of Burton Snowboards, “The objective is to focus resources at anon in order to effectively grow the goggle category.” The anon internal department was also restructured. Scott Oliver will take on a new role as the Director of anon Business Unit. Scott will now be responsible for the direction of the anon brand. Among other things, he will interact with the Marketing and Sales departments to ensure anon’s growth. He will also oversee product development.
Since the birth of anon, Scott has been involved with the brand. His depth of experience will have a positive impact on the future growth of anon. Scott has held a few positions at Burton in the past. Most recently, he was the Brand Manager of R.E.D, which included supervising the development of anon. Scott’s past positions also include: Sales Rep for Ontario, Product Manager for Accessories, and International Sales Manager for Canada, Korea and the Southern Hemisphere. Scott originally hails from Toronto, Ontario. Stephen Cleary will remain the anon Product Manager. Appointed to the position nearly a year ago, Stephen will continue his work on anon’s marketing, sales and product development. anon optics has also added Dave Driscoll to its ranks. Dave fills a new and much needed role in anon as the Team and Promotions Manager. Dave’s main responsibility is to manage the top riders representing anon products. The company has big plans for additions to their arsenal of sponsored team riders in the coming months, and Dave will help facilitate the team’s growth. Formerly, Dave was the Mt. Hood Marketing Coordinator for Burton. Dave is a Burlington, Vermont native.
