Tahoe City, CA… Starting Friday, January 31, Alpine Meadows Ski Resort will offer a $19 full-day lift ticket valid for Kangaroo chair only, accessing the resort’s new terrain park, superpipe, and boardercross course. The new park and pipe lift ticket will be available for ages 13 and older, valid seven days a week, excluding Presidents’ Day weekend (February 15 & 16).
The new $19 lift ticket is in response to the many skiers and snowboarders who visit Alpine specifically to access the park, pipe, and boardercross. “Many kids simply remain in the park or pipe for an entire day, said Paul Sanderson, Alpine Meadows Terrain Park Manager. “The new park and pipe ticket gives riders an affordable alternative to access the one chairlift servicing the park and pipe.
Alpine Meadows is able to offer this unique lift ticket because of the park and pipe’s convenient base area location. “We are the only major resort in the region that can offer a terrain park specific ticket because of the easy accessibility, said Brad Wilson, Alpine Meadows Director of Marketing. “One lift access all terrain features — right in the base area.
The $19 park and pipe lift ticket will be available for Alpine’s 2003 terrain park and superpipe grand opening party, Saturday, February 8. Snowbomb.com will also host a Sick & Twisted big air competition that day, open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages and ability levels. DJ Selector Prime will spin throughout the competition, and California’s sickest new punk band, Ground Up, will play during awards, gear toss and après party.
