Incorporates a daily limit on ticket sales; unveils on-line ticket reservation system
Alpine Meadows’ Vertical Revolution breaks the lift ticket pricing mold. Alpine will offer an unprecedented ticket rate for winter 2003/2004. Adult all day lift tickets are just $39, everyday. $17 less than the 2002-2003 adult rate, Alpine Meadows is looking to buck the trend of escalating lift ticket prices while offering a quality experience to guests. “We are committed to aggressively grow the sport and to do this we need to focus on the day user” said Brad Wilson, Alpine Meadows director of marketing. “Lower day ticket rates may also motivate ex-participants to revisit skiing and snowboarding.”
In addition, daily ticket sales will be limited. “We’re limiting ticket sales to keep crowds in check,” said Wilson. “What’s the point of having a great ticket rate if we can’t deliver a great mountain experience?” Alpine’s new on-line ticket reservation system at skialpine.com will allow guests to pre-purchase tickets for any day of the season. Anyone with a pre-paid reservation or season pass will have guaranteed access to the resort. Guests without pre-paid reservations are always welcome based on availability.
The $39 adult lift ticket rate is not only a throwback to the early ’90’s ticket rates; it also ties in with Alpine Meadows’ concept for guests to “get back to the roots” of winter sports, which include: a reasonable ticket price, focusing on the on-mountain experience, great snow and terrain, friendly atmosphere, and a passion for skiing and snowboarding.
Focused on an uncomplicated message and product, Alpine Meadows Ski Resort stands alone. For more information on the 2003/2004 lift ticket rates, please call 530.581.8219 and join the Vertical Revolution.
