SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 1 — Gamers will have the opportunity to put their business acumen to the ultimate test when Activision Value Publishing, a division of Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI), launches Ski Resort Tycoon.
The game challenges players’ intellect and creativity by placing them in the role of a business mogul where success or failure lays solely in their hands. Ski Resort Tycoon is rated “E” (Everyone) by the ESRB and is currently available at retail stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $19.95.
“Ski Resort Tycoon offers gamers a unique gaming experiences,” said Dan Hammett, president, Activision Value. “Ski Resort Tycoon’s construction elements offer two exciting and addictive approaches to classic sim games.”
Ski Resort Tycoon lets players bring the mountain home by building, managing and operating their own ski resort. Players build a virtual enterprise by sculpting their own mountain in full 3D and optimizing it with the right mix of black diamond runs, mogul fields, bunny hills, snowboard parks, hotels, condos, restaurants and cafes.
Once players have built their resort they can view the entire operation from any chair lift in the park, as well as track customer satisfaction by reading skier’s emotions.
Minimum system requirements include a Pentium 200Mhz for Ski Resort Tycoon and 32 MB RAM, a Sound Card, 1MB Video Card, Mouse and Keyboard and Windows 95/98/ME.
