Academy Snowboard Co. put on a shred camp at Boreal Resort in Tahoe, California a few weekends back. The camp went off as campers not only learned new tricks and board maintenance tips, but also got hooked up with over $100 in shred gear. From Backside 180s, to 270s on and off rails, to just plain old linking turns; every camper learned something new, had a great time, and made some new friends.

“We had eight Academy riders as coaches, and we made sure all the campers and all skill levels got the attention they needed, commented Jeff Baughn, marketing director for Academy Snowboard Co. “We also thought the kids how to wax and take care of their boards so the parents were stoked on that.

There will be a total of eight camps scheduled for next year across the USA in Vermont, Minnesota, Colorado, Utah, Oregon and California. Much thanks to this year’s sponsors 32 Boots, Planet Earth, Neff, and Dragon who flowed tons of product for the kids.
