SUGAR BOWL RESORT ANNOUNCES FOURTH OF JULY SKIING AND RIDING FOR ALL 2010/11 AND 2011/12 SUGAR BOWL SEASON PASSHOLDERS

(Donner Summit, CA) – With near-record snowfall totals during the 2010/11 ski season and more accumulations over the past two weeks, Sugar Bowl Resort announced today that all 2010/11 and 2011/12 Sugar Bowl season passholders are invited to celebrate the July 4th holiday by returning to Donner Summit and enjoying some summertime skiing and riding. The resort will reopen the Disney Express Chairlift from 8:30AM to 12:00PM on Monday, July 4th with skiing and riding on all trails off Mount Disney, complemented by a festive holiday BBQ and bar on the Lodge at Sugar Bowl deck from 10:30AM to 2:00PM. This summer’s Season Passholder Appreciation Day marks the first time the classic Tahoe resort has reopened for 4th of July skiing and riding since 1998. Based on current snow depths, conditions in early July should be exceptional, however no grooming, beginner terrain, rentals or lessons will be available, and in the interest of both pets and guests, dogs will not be allowed on the grounds. Parking for the 4th of July skiing and riding festivities will be available via the resort’s Judah entrance.

Sugar Bowl Season Passes valid on July 4th include all Midweek Plus, Summit Sunday Plus, Slightly Restricted and Unrestricted Season Passes, from both the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons. 2011/12 Sugar Bowl Season Passes are on sale now and available for purchase by visiting www.sugarbowl.com/passes or by calling 530.426.9000. 2011/12 Season Passes will also be available for purchase on-site on Monday, July 4th, and will be valid for skiing and riding that same day. Purchase a season pass by June 1st and earn 25,000 bonus CORE points, valid for free items across the resort when redeemed.
