Broadening the field of competition, Roxy is giving amateur riders a chance to mix it up with the pros. On Thursday, March 22, 30 local standouts, or anyone willing to make the trek to Park City, will have the opportunity to compete in an open-entry trials round for a coveted spot in the main event next to the best female riders in the world. The top five qualifiers will join 25 other invited pros from around the globe to compete in the “jam style main events where there is no specific starting order and no limit to the amount of runs a rider can take.
Friday’s show will feature the newly added superpipe main event and superfinal. Fans can expect technical excellence and stylish performances at the superpipe. Longer and wider than traditional halfpipes, the superpipe allows riders to get much higher air out of the pipe and perform more progressive tricks.

On a course specifically designed for women, the competitors will be judged on their technical skills, use of the park including rails, kickers, boxes and overall creativity, variation and style. The winner is the rider who leaves the best overall impression on the judges.
