Tahoe City, CA—Alpine Meadows Ski Resort received 16 inches of new snow at its base lodge and 22 inches of new snow on the slopes of its upper mountain last night.
“The timing of the snow storm was impeccable, said Jody Churich, Alpine Meadows Director of Marketing. “We always hope to provide powder skiing and snowboarding during this major holiday, and this year guests are getting the best. The skiing conditions are absolutely phenomenal, she added.
Last night’s snowfall will allow Alpine Meadows to open additional terrain and chair lifts. Scott triple chair and Subway double chair will open, offering additional novice through expert terrain. Alpine’s Mid Mountain Chalet restaurant is now open as well.
