March 12th, 2010 — Summit At Snoqualmie, WA
With the rail jam and main competition qualifiers underway, the 2010 Ride Shakedown has officially begun. Having cemented its place as Canada’s largest and most popular snowboard event over the past few years, the Shakedown has now arrived south of the border, selecting Summit At Snoqualmie to host the first USA edition.
The Ride Shakedown has been known to produce both creative and progressive set-ups throughout the years, highlighted by a full-scale McDonald’s in 2006 and the Amp Energy waterfall rail of 2009. This year’s installment continues on with the trend, leading riders from the 65-foot jump down to a collection of jib choices, including a branded stairset with a burly kick, 90 degree gap rail and three-tier wheel tower.
Friday night will see the finals of the Rail Jam, with Saturday night holding the finals of the 2010 Ride Shakedown. Results, photos and rider checks will be posted throughout the event here at snowboarding.transworld.net, with Fuel.tv providing a live webcast, starting at 2 PM on Saturday.
