Tahoe City, CA—Last week’s storm blanketed Alpine Meadows Ski Resort with 12 to 16 of snow and has allowed the resort to add the Summit Six chair to its operation schedule for Thursday, December 14. Alpine will offer top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding daily.
And additional lift will open Saturday, December 16. Hot Wheels triple chair will offer groomed terrain best suited to intermediate skiing and riding. As of Saturday, Alpine will offer a total of five chairs, making for expanded terrain as Tahoe starts to see more visitors for the holidays.
“The areas of the mountain we plan to have open and accessible via Summit Six chair should make for some fun terrain, said Rachael Woods, Alpine Meadows public relations manager. “Everyone has been waiting with baited breath for Summit Six to open, as have I, she added. With snowfall expected Friday accompanied by temperatures dipping into the teens and low 20s, Alpine Meadows will continue to make snow and open additional terrain as conditions allow.
