5 Standout Snowboard Shapes Seen at Mount Hood 2016

Photos: Darcy Bacha

Each and every summer, gaggles of snowboarders venture to Mount Hood to get their shredding fix on the Palmer Snowfield. Some come to be apart of High Cascade Snowboard Camp, some do their own thing and lap the public park, while others opt for backcountry missions and hike their way all the way to summit, before schlepping down. While there’s many ways to get after it and enjoy Mount Hood this season, you need a dependable snowboard to slash through the summer slush. Board shapes are crazy these days with some veering away from the standard twin shapes, to more funky designs with progressive sidecuts.

We spotted a few boards on Mount Hood that caught our attention. Scroll through the gallery above to scoop the decks that Danny Davis, Harry Kearny and others are riding this summer.
