The 2017 Smith I/O has wider peripheral vision than last year’s model, ChromaPop lens technology for detailed contrast and clarity, and a frameless quick-release lens change system. Smith pioneered lens change systems with their original I/O (Interchangeable Optics) goggle. To remove the lens on the newest I/O, simply flip the two top levers up and release the outriggers (which widen the goggle strap so it fits better around helmets), swap lenses according to light conditions, then reset the levers and outriggers so they’re flush with the frame. Featuring three-layer DriWix face foam, which is soft on skin and prevents moisture buildup, plus an inner lens that absorbs more than five times the moisture competing goggles absorb, the I/O could be the best fog-fighting goggle on the market.
– Spherical carbonic-x lens, TLT lens technology for crystal clear vision
