A past Good Wood finisher is back boasting a bunch of new technology. Titanal impact plates are milled into the core to add strength and absorb impact, while bamboo stringers add extra snap and remove weight. Plus, the CarbonSinter base holds more wax, which means more speed and ultimately more air.
Tester feedback:
“This board is so sick for jumping, tons of pop and ready for anything.”
“Definitely one of the top boards I’ve ridden in the test.”
Available sizes: 151, 154, 156, 158, 160, 162
$550

Rome is the best snowboard company in the world. Their boards have so much pop. If you know of anything less corporate then let me know. This is the board that I will be riding this year. Everything about Rome and it’s rider’s signify the essence of snowboarding. This is not a ski company or owned by a ski company. Support snowboarding not corporations or skiers. If I am to give a company my money, it will be Rome. No offense to them but their bindings are heavy and bulky with not a ton of support.

I completely agree. I’ve been loyal to Rome for the past few years and 3 decks, they’re so tight. So far I’ve ridden 2 anthems which were great for pipe and bombing (broke em both though), and most recently an agent which is the best park board I’ve ever tried (so beaten up by now but no breakage). No problems going fast or in the backcountry either. From this review though I’m switching it up to the mod, hopefully wont be too creeped out by the guy on the base. Oh yea and their bindings have an awful feel, as much as I hate to say it Burton kills it when it comes to bindings and boots, but thats it.
