BURLINGTON, VT (November 24, 2014) This season, Burton takes the guessing out of giving with a limited edition holiday collection and thousands of gifts that are perfect for on the hill, off the hill and everywhere in between.
The pinnacle item in Burton’s new holiday line is the Burton x Marilyn Monroe™ collection of snowboards. For the first time, Burton collaborated with Marilyn Monroe’s estate to create beautiful snowboard graphics that feature classic, life-size photography of the legendary actress. Exclusively available from Burton and a handful of select retailers worldwide, this special collection includes two board models: the men’s Custom Marilyn and the women’s Feelgood Marilyn, fitting choices given that both are iconic models of their own. With four unforgettable images across two classic boards, the collection celebrates Marilyn Monroe’s iconic glamour and beauty that continues to excite and captivate fans around the world.
In addition to the Marilyn Monroe collection, Burton also released several new snowboards for the holiday season that will definitely be at the top of riders’ wish lists. First up is the Throwback Snowboard, which is a resurrection of the classic 1981 Burton Backhill and is now available in very limited quantities worldwide. A ride-able piece of history built for surfing snow in the backyard, the Throwback features a pad, rope and handle and is offered in two sizes: a 130 cm for adults and 100 cm for kids. In addition to the Throwback, Burton is also releasing two new boards that are ideal for backcountry riders: the men’s Fish Split and Retro Fish, which are both perfect for deep powder days over the holidays.
And that’s just the beginning. Burton also has an incredible assortment of jackets, hoodies, sweaters, flannels, pants, tees, accessories and bags that make perfect gifts. And there’s even a special selection of apparel and accessories that features festive holiday prints. For those who want to take the ‘Christmas sweater’ look to the next level, Burton has two great options: the men’s Tech Tee in Holidaze and women’s Tech Tee in Blitzen. Burton’s holiday collection is also stacked with stocking stuffers like the men’s Spectre Mitt, women’s Pipe Gloves, Weekend Two Pack socks and tablet sleeves in fresh new prints like Green Isle, Tarp Polka Dot and Zinfandel Dark Ash.
