When you think of Jake Blauvelt’s riding style a natural, creative flow comes to mind. But then there’s the occasional explosive act within, berzerking you could say. Jake designed his pro model for his type of riding, one that fits this electrified current. It has a slight directional shape and 3/4 inch setback stance with a bit of rocker in the nose and subtle camber throughout, giving it easy turn initiation, float in pow, solid snap in and out of turns, and powerful ollies. It’s laced with Ride’s urethane Slimewall sidewalls for vibration dampening, smooth flex, and impact protection. With a hybrid layup of fiberglass between the top and bottom the board isn’t overly stiff (it’s rated a five out of ten on Ride’s flex scale), but multiple arrays of carbon extend from the bindings and tip and tail to further edge control and pop. It comes finished with a screaming fast sintered base, too. Like a lone artist painting his way down a white canvas, this board is Jake’s signature brush.
