Let’s face it, boardin’ isn’t exactly cheap. Its pretty f—king expensive, actually. At some point, you’ll have to fork over your hard earned cash to replace or upgrade parts of your kit, so here are a few quality products that are a little easier on the wallet.
Union Cadet-DLX Bindings, $150
This bare bones binder has all of Union’s high-end luxuries without the high-end price tag. It’s got an extruded, anodized aluminum heelcup that adds strength and durability while staying super lightweight, and the Stage I baseplate has a lifetime warranty against breakage. Plus, it’s the pick of Union riders Joe Sexton and Jon Kooley, so you’re in good company rocking these.

I have to say most of this gear is hardly budget… 175 dollar jacket and 55 dollar gloves? Oh yeah… fucking sweet deal TWS!

Union binding just paid them to publish this article. If they really knew how to get the best deals, especially when publishing in August, they would tell you to buy last year’s stuff for 50% off or more.
Sierrasnowboard.com has stuff for 50% or more. Got Burton Traids ESTs for $150 from them ($300 retail), so that’s already a much better value than getting budget bindings at the same price.

Yeah…I'm sure Union paid them to publish the article….you know…Union jacket…Union gloves….Union board…all featured in this article. It's soooOOoo obvious! The bindings aren't the only thing in this article that are a rip during August. Don't just hate on Union….they make bomb ass bindings.
Sierrasnowboard does have stuff for cheap. Like you said…you COULD get the Burton Triad EST for $150…but without a Burton ICS board…what are you gonna mount them on? It's not just about getting the highest priced retail stuff for the most off you know.
