Heikki’s coming by and will be fielding questions. What’re you wondering this time ’round.
The process is same as it ever was. Fill the comment board below and whoever asks Heikki’s favorite question will get a complete set up from his newest sponsors Bond Outerwear, Weekend Snowboards. Might even throw in some goggs from Oakley. Maybe even a case of RedBull.
Better ask a good one.

Im not gonna suck up like the rest of these fools, how do the finnish women look this time of year? And whats your favorite techno song? I bet its Sandstorm isnt it you fangletoothed mutherfucker.
September 11th, 2009 at 11:08 pm
hey heikki in ur point of view what is the worst thing in snowboarding and how do u like the new weekend snowboards. thanks
September 11th, 2009 at 11:15 pm
Wow, weak you guys. If you think your getting a board for asking what certain women look like, well i guess thats up for Heikki to decide. How about Mack Dawg and what happened to that crew? And how do you like the new one?
September 11th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
Hey Heikki, when your hittin' huge drops or just gettin' serious airtime, whats the one thing you think about when your in the air? Finland, the ladies, not bailing? Or do you just check out the scenery and the beauty of shredding in general?
September 11th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
Where do you think the one-footed movement is headed?
September 11th, 2009 at 11:31 pm
Would you rather drop a cliff one footed or with tight snowpants?
September 11th, 2009 at 11:35 pm
Tell us all the dirt on The Big B and let us know what really went down. 10:4
September 11th, 2009 at 11:37 pm
hey Heikki I love your parts in previous mack Dawg films! I noticed your best buds with Eero (Ettala), are you planning on marrying him?… If not… marry me!
September 11th, 2009 at 11:37 pm
yoo heikki, i saw you out in the line-up at salt creek the other day… do all finnish dudes come to southern california to surf in the summer? let me get at a new weekend snowboard and you can burn all the locals…
September 11th, 2009 at 11:40 pm
Where would you be without your snowboard?
September 11th, 2009 at 11:48 pm
What is your favorite snowboard video? Favorite trick ever gotten on film?
September 11th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
Heikki, what is the greatest challenged you've faced in your life and how has snowboarding helped you cope or overcome whatever challenge lied ahead?
September 11th, 2009 at 11:54 pm
what happened with burton?
September 12th, 2009 at 12:00 am
Sup, heikki i been a fan of yours for about 5yrs? or so
good to see you getting some coverage these days on tw
havent heard about you in awhile good to see you back
anyway i guess my question is how are you adjusting from being one of the main stream
boarder doing contest + vids to now just mostly videos parts these days it seems, (or just riding backcountry)
how do you feel about it and do you miss those busy contest days? or are you enjoying more
filming? which do did you or do you like better or is it all of the above?
and also i know you been with your burton for along time and im pretty sure you have tons of freinds
from burton crew, do you still k.i.t. with those guys? or you just gone separate ways?
and lastly you have any project with eero? i think you2 are good match i enjoy watching you guys riding togather. one last question, do you have any plans of entering 2010 winter olympics ?
good luck to you and hope to see doing some great works in future, peace out by kevin
September 12th, 2009 at 12:02 am
Not to be all negative, but which stung worse losing your highest air record to Terje or losing Burton as a sponsor? Neither was too bad, you can always go higher and you picked up some great new sponsors, too.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:09 am

September 12th, 2009 at 12:48 am
hey Heikki you've been one of my favorite riders since i started snowboarding. whenever i wanna get pumped to ride i watch follow me around or double decade and your parts are always diverse and you have great style in all your tricks. whats your favorite part about snowboarding, jibbing, park, powder, or just overall riding and having fun with whatever is in front of you?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:05 am
Hey Heikki, being a pro must be unreal to you, I know it would be for me. Do you ever just lay in your bed before shutting your eyes and just think of how blessed you are that you are able to do this amazing sport and that it is a job that you completely love? You must get estactic just think on the fact that you ARE a pro snowboarder and that you get PAID to do the thing you love.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:12 am
To be become one of the best snowboarders in the world it obviously took a ton of motivation to get up every morning and want to snowboard, so my question is what would you say motiveated you the most to become the snowboarder you are today?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:24 am
What's the funniest/best prank you've pulled on someone or had someone pull on you while filming?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:30 am
Whats up with that picture of you dressed as a girl for halloween? was that a dare? or did you lose a bet? much love
September 12th, 2009 at 1:41 am
Heikki - being a rider who's seen the changes in snowboarding over the years what do you feel is going to happen with the sport in a few areas:
1. Overall we are seeing a lot of big companies reduce the size of their team, which has opened the door for rider driven companies to pick up some great talent for their brands, with your experience do you feel we are going to see some major changes in the industry over the next few years from some larger companies cutting back and smaller companies coming to the forefront?
2. If you had the sole opportunity to choose a group of riders to film with over the next season who would you choose and where would you travel to?
3. Who has better beer - Finland, Germany, or the U.S.?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:57 am
Why did you switch from burton to weekend snowboards?
September 12th, 2009 at 2:01 am
Heikki- everyone wants to know what happened at burton but I dont really care just glad you, JP, DCP, and Romain are off the B. I really like weekend boards but I was wondering why you didnt go with Yes.nowboards like the rest of the Uninc crew?
Thanks

September 12th, 2009 at 3:05 am
Hear me out, with shredding going so many different ways in every part of the globe where do you think the future of snowboarding will be headed in the next ten years just as a lifestyle?

September 12th, 2009 at 4:20 am

September 12th, 2009 at 5:20 am
Hey hiekki! your double decade part was awsome! If you could only hot one thing for the rest of your life what would it be a handrail or a big booter?
September 12th, 2009 at 5:31 am
whos your main dude, bro?
September 12th, 2009 at 5:31 am
Sup Heikki, i hit a street rail in Portland and broke both my collar bones (close out rail to both hands into the street). And I want to come back for some redemption when our 2 or 3 days of snow come back. Do you have any wisdom on hitting rails in the urban environment?
September 12th, 2009 at 6:17 am
Hows weekend snowboards and bond outwear working out?
September 12th, 2009 at 6:25 am
hey man, just wondering if you have any pre-trick rituals before attempting a big trick.
September 12th, 2009 at 6:46 am
Are you in love with Heikki? Git off his dingle-doink.
September 12th, 2009 at 8:21 am
Dear Heikki,
It seems like your more recent vid. parts have been more focused on having a blast than "getting the shot"..and as it turns out, your parts have been soo entertaining to watch! Was this switch an unconscious, natural realization or did you have goal to just have fun and kill it and see what happens? Regardless, what you're producing is soo incredible, so keep up the stoke!
September 12th, 2009 at 9:46 am
Being an athlete must mean a good workout and diet. But travelling all over the world must mean that regular gym workout is impossible.
1. What do you do?
2. Do you wear body protection to limit injury?
Please tell.. thanks.

September 12th, 2009 at 12:11 pm
Heikki, What is your biggest pet peeve? Along those lines, what does Eero do that annoys you the most when you are together for extended periods of time?
September 12th, 2009 at 12:15 pm
What are your thoughts on DCP, Romain, and JP Solberg getting dropped from Burton? Did the same thing happen to you? If so, would you ever ride a Yes Snowboard?? They didn't do so well in the Good Wood Board Test…..
September 12th, 2009 at 12:39 pm
HEIKKI!!! I'm a big fan of you and your video parts. Do you live by the motto "Yes We Can!" ??? There are a lot of reasons to burn out and turn your back on snowboarding these days and the industry in general. How do you focus on the positive?
September 12th, 2009 at 12:40 pm
Wich song or artist is the one you could not ride snowboard with? Why?
And what do you think, is Lady GaGa a trap or not?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Have you ever gotten a blumpkin from a lesbian midget and farted while burping in to a time portal?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:49 pm
do you get annoyed by alot people bothering you when your just out freeriding having fun with friends? it seems so many people treat pros like there football players or something, i just treat pros like there anyone else on the mtn.
September 12th, 2009 at 3:04 pm
Why did Burton dump all of their talent? Or did you guys all choose to leave?
OR
If you can't answer the last two questions, can you answer why no one in the industry seems to have the balls to talk out against them (Burton), I'm totally confused on how a company can have a huge core of the highest level talent in snowboarding on their roster and let it all walk away.
Transworld would probably edit your answers out anyway since they are on the Burton D so hard.
September 12th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
What gives you motivation to try a new trick or to keep riding after a big crash?
September 12th, 2009 at 3:23 pm
yeah you have to tell us what up with burton… and no response like '' i wanted to change things up '' we know its about business these days.. what went down?
September 12th, 2009 at 3:48 pm
I hear a lot about global warming everywhere. Will the polar bears take over our mountains and glaciers once their ice is gone?
September 12th, 2009 at 4:48 pm
what does it feel like to come so far from riding a small resort in Finland, to being a big time pro and being able to ride the best spots in the world?
September 12th, 2009 at 5:09 pm
to be able to ride almost year round must be amazing. looking foward to winter is what keeps me pumped all summer .which do u look more foward to? a sunny warm summer day slashing mash potatoes or a midwinter park day?
September 12th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Heikki what do all you finnish dudes drink? I named my dog Kulta after that finnish beer thinking he would make me a better snowboarder and I think its working! Will you bring a case back to Utah next time you're in town?
Helsinki Fo Life!
September 12th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Heikki, whats your real name?
September 12th, 2009 at 6:00 pm
If you rode a rickshaw to the mountain everyday, who would you want driving it?
September 12th, 2009 at 6:17 pm

eric
September 12th, 2009 at 6:23 pm
did you get you're idea to do the one footer at the x-games from the follow me around part with aaron bittner?
September 12th, 2009 at 6:23 pm
Supp, Heikki! You're one of the best international riders, and I know, that you were in Japan for several times. So, what r u thinking about a problem of global immigration of pandas to Japan? Maybe they want to set their own goverment and do a revolution there? f*ck, its so sick, man…
And is it true, that White is an alien?
ps. Your style is sick, one of the best. Good stuff, bro!
September 12th, 2009 at 6:26 pm
i meant the picture this part
September 12th, 2009 at 7:25 pm
Hey Heikki,
This year you made a big switch sponsorship wise by going from Burton to much smaller brands like Weekend and Bond. Do you feel smaller snowboarder run companies are better for the snowboard community? Also what impact has the switch made upon your lifestyle (from paycuts) and how did it effect your traveling this year riding for companies with smaller budgets?
September 12th, 2009 at 7:25 pm
Hey Heikki, YOU SHRED! Who has inspired you most as a snowboarder?
September 12th, 2009 at 8:13 pm
Whats up bro??? So i was curious what a pro snowboarder's schedule was like? Do you take weekends off to miss the crowds and lift lines? Do you ride everyday? Ive seen you ride at northstar with eero and i wanted to know is there any parks sicker than northstar?
September 12th, 2009 at 8:39 pm
What scares you about snowboarding?
September 12th, 2009 at 8:51 pm
What's ur phone number?
September 12th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
Being a pro snowboarder you probly get alot of kids telling you how your one there favorite riders and that they want to ride like you. When you were growing up who were the pros that got you stoked to go snowboarding and now that you are a pro have you have a chance to ride with any of them?
September 12th, 2009 at 9:49 pm
Heikki, with all of the sponsor changes and filming crew changes, how has your career been affected, and do you have any new outlooks on snowboarding?
September 12th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
Since you travel all over the place; how many people fuck up on the saying of the your name? and which was the funniest fuck up?
September 12th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
What would you rather do? Drop a cliff or drop acid? be honest
September 12th, 2009 at 11:40 pm

September 13th, 2009 at 2:03 am
Hey Heikki, wut was the worst injury you have suffered from snowboarding? And wut kept you motivated to come back to snowboarding and stick with it?
September 13th, 2009 at 2:39 am
Hey Hekki whats going on man I just wanted to ask what your first board was how old were you when you first started shredding and when did things really started clicking with your shredding. Peace
September 13th, 2009 at 3:02 am
What's your absolute favorite way to ride (type of terrain, place, friends, situation, etc.), how do you hope to maintain that as long as possible, & what do you think you might do "after snowboarding"?
September 13th, 2009 at 3:42 am
Hey Heikki, Whats up man? In your opinion, what do you think is the most important feature of your setup? Bindings, board, or boots? I say its all boots, but what do you think?
September 13th, 2009 at 3:49 am
Yo Heikki!! I just wanna say that one footed shit is damn steezy man, keep progressing that stuff! Which leads me to my question: where do you think snowboarding is going now, and where do you think it will be in ten years? I feel like all the board companies are stepping up and making everything so good and tech. And not to mention, the riding this year in the movies has progressed to a crazy level. Also, what do you consider the moment in your snowboarding career where everything just clicked and you started progressing mad- crazy? Thanks! Johhny O.
September 13th, 2009 at 3:51 am

September 13th, 2009 at 4:28 am
How does it feel to leave Burton?
September 13th, 2009 at 4:59 am
Hey Heikki i am a huge fan and i am so glad you left burton. But i had a question everbody sees the happy side of snowboarding, but whats it really like having all the issues and awkwardness of leaving or being booted from a company? Congrats on bond and weekend snowboards!!
September 13th, 2009 at 5:04 am
Hey Heikki I was just wondering how you got your name up in lights? How did it all start? Did you film a bunch and get really good and sent tapes out or did you do alot of contests? Do you have any intense stories of getting sponsored? Thanks and congrats on Bond and Weekend!
September 13th, 2009 at 5:06 am

September 13th, 2009 at 7:14 am
super steez has always been your thing, ya !? they have the g vs. r, i believe there needs to be a tight vs. baggy. you are the captain of baggy who is your top five and who would you pick to face from the tight kids crew? oh ya glad you chose the weekends !
September 13th, 2009 at 9:05 am
do you use any forward lean?
September 13th, 2009 at 9:14 am
how old were you when you started snowboarding and how old were you when you got sponsored?
September 13th, 2009 at 10:52 am
I have 3 simple questions:
1) Has Red Bull given you wings?
2) What are you going to do when you quit snowboarding?
3) What is your favourite place for snowboarding in Finland?
September 13th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
How did the fellas at burton/analog feel when you told them you were leaving! annoyed? sad? didn't care? Happy for you? you had been through alot with them, must have been hard making the switch. neway keep shreddin' …chase.
September 13th, 2009 at 3:46 pm
hey heikki,
i was at the redbull snowscrapers event in nyc and i was wondering what your take on snowboarding in urban areas is. where do you think it is going? and what would you say to somebody who doesn't have access to big mountains/powder and is stuck in the park a lot? looking forward to seeing u kill it next year!
ps. im the kid who yelled to you that terje stole your trick after he did his one footer!
September 13th, 2009 at 4:45 pm
hey manny man, whats the biggest thing you would recommend to an up and comer, trying to get sponsored? and who would win in a fight between a dolphin and a giraffe?
September 13th, 2009 at 4:52 pm
Hiekki, if you were a fruit what fruit would you be?
September 13th, 2009 at 7:49 pm
moimoi, Heikki!
so…when you are in Finland, do you take daytrips to Tallinn Estonia, to buy your booze? you can save a lot of euros like that
September 13th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Yout gotta love food and eat it too to stay good to ride, breakfast of champions?
September 13th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
hey heikki,
I was wondering why u chose to the larger known companies for smaller and newer companies such as Bond and Weekend Snowboards?

What's up Heikki, here's your question:
Now that you have Redbull as a sponsor, are you planning on doing a Redbull Experiment for snowboarding (like Robbie Maddison did on new years)?
that's my question and by the way, that no-footed 3 at bear mountain from your part in Picture This was super sick!
September 13th, 2009 at 9:40 pm
I meant ONE-FOOTED, not no-footed
September 13th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
Burton Snowboards: to love or to hate?
September 13th, 2009 at 11:04 pm
In my question I meant ONE-FOOTED 3, not no-footed
September 14th, 2009 at 12:32 am
If you had the chance to jump into a pool filled with your food of choice what would it be ?
September 14th, 2009 at 12:43 am
Yo Heikki whats up. Almost any pro snowboarder has had to make Sacrifices or big decisions to be able to shred at some point in their life, whether is be just to earn money to ride as a kid, or make a big move or go for it and travel out to a big event to get noticed. Did you do anything in particular that you will always remember as a life changing experience that created your snowboard career or love for the sport? Did you ever take it to seriously along the way and forget about the fun that you are supposed to be having every day?
September 14th, 2009 at 2:01 am
IVE GOT A QUESTION FOR YA HEIKKI, WOULD YOU COME TO MARQUETTE MOUNTAIN AND SHRED SOME GNARHA WITH US MICHIGAN YOOPERS?
September 14th, 2009 at 2:05 am

September 14th, 2009 at 2:56 am
if you only had one resort, one feature to ride on, one person to ride with and one song to listen to what would they all be????
September 14th, 2009 at 3:01 am
Vegimite or marmite?
September 14th, 2009 at 6:05 am
Did you make the decision to leave Burton on your own or did you leave when when J.P, Romain, and DCP where taken off the global team? It's awesome that you hooked up with a smaller brand like Weekend but why didn't you join up with your old mates on Yes?
September 14th, 2009 at 6:11 am
also how many boards do you go through in a season? I snap a bunch through the tail and i'm not even that heavy. I'm stoked on weekend but will it hold up for an entire season?
September 14th, 2009 at 8:34 am
Is there anything funny about Eero that we don't know?
September 14th, 2009 at 8:37 am

September 14th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
With as much detail as possible, how would you describe the surreal feeling of powder slashes, white rooms, cliff dropping, tight shoots, (a.k.a. riding powder) to someone who has never snowboarded?
September 14th, 2009 at 9:04 pm
Back when you sucked, did you ever think you were gonna go pro?
September 15th, 2009 at 12:54 am
Heikki, do you like turtles?
If you liked turtles enough to become a turtle would you spend most of your time on land or under water, just swimming around thinking your little turtle thoughts?

Finland vs. USA. Who wins?
September 15th, 2009 at 6:19 pm
What was the main thing that got you into what you call your profession today? Was it inspired simply by having a love and passion for the sport, or were you more directed towards getting sponsored and known around the world? Snowboarding has come very far, and a large majority of youth today are just battling to be the best while not focusing on the fun and good times of hitting the mountain. Would you say you love and go snowboarding for the same reasons today that you did when you were a beginner?
September 28th, 2009 at 1:56 am
Hiekki,
When did snowboarders get so lame?

Heikki, i was wondering what its like going from the biggest snowboard Company(as a sponsor) to a smaller lesser known company? many pros have done this and have been almost forgotten, how will you stay noticed?
Thanks!

November 4th, 2009 at 12:48 am
i’m really into the think thank videos that are coming out, which take a whole new creative approach to snowboarding what do you think about “weird” tricks?
November 4th, 2009 at 2:17 am
whats up man. being around snowboarding for so long.. whats been the highlight of your career so far?
November 4th, 2009 at 3:30 am
hey heikki, looking at the path that you took snowboarding, riding with one of the industry giants, Burton. Do you think that snowboarding is better for it, having all the industry money, and you know just everything that snowboarding has become, all the competitions, and all the work that goes along with being a pro snowboarder that has nothing to do with snowboarding, also do you like the movement that is bringing snowboarding into being a sport, and into the mainstream. Or do believe that snowboarding is truly an art form at heart, and that snowboarding is best in it's true form, just enjoying a nice powder day with all your buddies, nothing in the world to worry about but snowboarding? I know that all the money is great, and creates a dream life doing what you love, I just wanna know, taking out all that stuff, what is snowboarding truly to you?
November 4th, 2009 at 3:34 am
I feel that the snowboarding world is becoming filled with so many haters..never seem to be pleased with much of anything riders are putting out, even when a lot of the tricks are sick..how do you feel about this era of haters?haha
November 4th, 2009 at 4:29 am
so heikki you say that one of your favorite tv shows is family guy. i would like to know what episode was your favorite. keep up the sick riding
November 4th, 2009 at 5:19 am
Whats up dude first off of course your the sickest ridder out for sure screw burton you don't need them its their loss. anyway homie when you wake up every morning and realize you are a pro shredder and live the life that every shredder wants to live….. what goes on in your head? are you happy where you are and what your doing? ever ride mt. bachelor in bend, oregon? if so ill look out for you.
Peace!!!
November 5th, 2009 at 12:00 am
hey Heikki, you and Eero seam to be pretty good friends, who do you think would win in a brawl, you or him?
November 5th, 2009 at 12:35 am
why the hell are so many regular dudes and pros hating on terrain park in general and resorts such as park city? why not just hit the pow in the most prime times and just enjoy consecutive jumps without spending time building kickers and just shredding!? and blunts, or bongs?
November 5th, 2009 at 3:36 am
As a college student, money is a crunch and I miss riding as much as i could in the earlier days of working at the mtn. How do you get around being broke, missing shred, and not being able to do it as much? Do you just have to get over it until you find time/I graduate, or do you just go for it, and since it makes you happy, not graduating school.
November 5th, 2009 at 5:42 am
when did you realize how much snowboarding meant to you? and does being a pro and having this 'job' take some of the fun out of snowboarding that you had when you first started shredding?
November 5th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
hey whats up, when your off the mountain or the streets whatever what you have been shreddin, do you think of you r self as a image a idol to other that are not pro and how do you keep comiting your self to everything that your hitting to a 100ft jump to super skechy looking rail set up,
cheaa boy keep on riding
November 5th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
First off you are by far one of my favorite riders and my only question for you is since you have been a pro for a while now is snowboarding still fun to you or has it became more of a job?
November 5th, 2009 at 6:01 pm
Is it true I beat you in SKATE everytime we play? HAHAHAH
November 5th, 2009 at 7:34 pm
What's up Heikki you ready for the season? I have a 2 part question for ya. 1- It must be rad to have a good friend who you grew up with be a pro with you. How much do you guys still push each other? Do you think you are both better riders today because of the influence you have on eachother? 2- Who pissed off the Utah Snow Gods?
November 5th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
Do you like apples with penut butter?
November 6th, 2009 at 12:42 am

November 6th, 2009 at 8:38 am

November 8th, 2009 at 4:34 pm
hey heikki. this is a question from a neighbour from the west… It seems like sweden has more hills and ski resorts and other stuff than Finland… but still the finnish riders are more diverse and more succesfull than the swedish ones… So my question to you is why are the finnish riders more badass than swedish ones?
November 9th, 2009 at 2:42 am
Hows it going, my question is how does a person get them self a sponsor. i know it takes alot of work, but i was just wondering if you had any suggestions on what i should do. what was the defining moment when you discoved you were going to snowboard for a living?
November 10th, 2009 at 8:29 am
Hi Heikki! What do you think about weekend snowboards? I think it is good thing when you change weekend snowboards and I cant wait when weekend snowboards appear in stores here in Finland. But good luck for you!
November 10th, 2009 at 4:48 pm
