Colorado has long been the Mecca of man-made snowboarding obstacles, i.e. pipes and parks. Thanks to a series of potent early season storms, most resorts here have been open for well over month, some almost two months.

Last weekend, Echo Mountain Park opened for a super DL shred session. Colorado got hit hard with snow, and Echo pocketed more than thirty-two inches.
We made the drive from Mammoth Lakes, to Marc Frank's house a.k.a. The Block, arriving at around 9:30 pm. Crawling with pro shreds, joe shreds and a couple lurkers, The Block at Tahoe sits a 'bow's throw from cheap drinks and bad decisions known as the California/Nevada state line.
