Average cold, windy, bluebird day at Breck. Above average frontside melon blaster from VT’s Chris Waker.

I'm from Vermont and i like to snowboard.
I love the US Open. Its the only contest I really go to and enjoy watching. There’s always some newcomers stepping up and killing it. Greg Bretz is one of those kids. This ain’t no photoshop job. The kid goes XXXXXXL.

I’m proud to say I took this photo. Its nothing particularly crazy but it’s pure style and I jus really like looking at it. You might not know who Chris Waker is but you will soon enough(see final page of current East Coast Snowboarding). The snowflying around the washed out look from the sun, it jus reminds me of how much fun that day was…..yeah, you are jealous.
Shit is smooth. Classic form, classic outfit, classic style. Will Robinson big guy frontside rock n roll
Day before I left VT I got to go up and shoot some photos with my friend Will at good ol Bromley. It was a good time and though it was a real cold day I like the look of this shot a lil over exposed and desaturated. Thanks to Mike at marketing for shooting us.
a long time ago I worked at Windells…I liked to ride pipe there on a nice summer day
I always like going home to VT to ride with friends. I like it even more when it snow copious amounts and they are happy to get behind the camera for a change and get a shot of me attempting stylish maneuvers. I think most people would agree that a proper, stylish method is one of the most difficult tricks to pull off on a snowboard. So on this particular day after hitting the jump when my friend Jesse told me I’d thrown a Landvik method and he might have gotten a shot of it….well that’s the best compliment you can get.
I can’t say I’m particularly proud of the grab in this shot because I’m not. Still my buddy who isn’t a “camera guy” did get a shot thats pretty fun to look at. Especially since it reminds me of our location up in the trees next to this logride getting up on life. I especially like the photo desaturated something about black and white just makes pow shots more fun to look at.
For my birthday last year the ol home mountain got a nice coating of fresh VT pow…the stuff you remember from when you were little. You can see it all around and though the temperature was low spirits were high, very high. Anyway Mr. Evan Williams was so excited he just had to poke this indy hard as he could. I think the result is quite pleasing. It wasn’t a great photo on a great camera but a little contrast work and I think its not so bad to look at.
I’d never ridden Vail and wouldn’t you know the snow followed me from VT to Vail so my first day ever in the back bowls was fresh, light, fluffy powder. I gave my buddy my camera and asked him to get a slash shot. The result is a great memory and a vision of pure powder riding.
