Venture’s 09.10 Website Live

 VENTURE’S 09.10 WEBSITE NOW LIVE

Silverton, CO - July 23, 2009  - The beta on Venture Snowboards’ 09.10 board lineup is now live on their website: www.venturesnowboards.com .

The grassroots, Colorado-based company has lots of changes in store for the coming winter including:

  • EVERYTHING SPLIT: Continuing Venture’s progression in the backcountry niche, all four of its board models will be offered in solid and split versions.  Of note is the fact that the Storm-R  splitboard won the 2010 Editors’ Choice Award from Backcountry Magazine, and that Venture’s split Helix  is the industry’s first true twin, freestyle inspired splitboard.
  •

  • FOUR WAIST WIDTHS: Because one size doesn’t fit all, Venture is now offering all board models in four different waist widths (24, 25, 26, and 27 cm) to ensure optimal performance, whatever your footprint.
  •

  • ROCKER REVOLUTION: Venture has redesigned three of its four models with rockered shapes : the Helix, Euphoria and Storm.

In keeping with the company’s conservation ethic, Venture continues to power its factory with wind, to use only Forest Stewardship Council certified hardwoods for its bookmatched cores, and to build each board from scratch in its Silverton, Colorado workshop. Boards will hit the shelves early this fall so stay tuned.\r\n\r\nFor more information, visit Venture’s website: www.venturesnowboards.com

Ask The Rider – LNP Wrap-Up

ASK THE RIDER – LNP WRAP-UP

The second Rome SDS “Ask the Rider” live interview on Twitter was big success. For more than two hours on Friday July 10th, you asked, and LNP answered, unedited and as fast as he could type. LNP answered everything from what are his favorite skate parts to how’s riding pow in Japan. He answered questions about his old Bandwagon crew and even some really funny ones from the crew over at UpDown Magazine. He even stayed on the Twitter account for a full extra hour, trying to get through as many questions that were flooding in for him.

Here’s a sampling of some of the questions fielded by LNP:

“If you could be a mystical creature, what would it be?”

@ccortes182 – “Dragons are cool, maybe like an evil dwarf, that is cool with me, but I would kill people I don’t like – LNP

Hey LNP, if you could wear one shirt and one pair of pants for the rest of the year what would you choose?”

@traveloutloud – Hard one, white jeans and my Bahamas Budweiser t-shirt – LNP

“Mr. P, how has becoming a pro and being paid affected the fun of snowboarding? Do you still ride for intrinsic reasons?

@BjollyLolly – being a pro is a little stressful, but it helps me realize that now I can’t just sit on my ass and do nothing – LNP

“What should I name my new cat?  I can’t decide after three nameless days with him.

@S_abrina – “What about Cleo, sweet name for a cat – LNP

In the end we randomly awarded the 2010 Artifact 147 1985, LNP’s jib board of choice to Ncrowley1 for the randomly selected question: “What was your favorite toy as a little kid?”   For the record, it was Lego’s or Ninja Turtle figurines – LNP.

““The Twitter interview was a lot better than I thought it would be. I just had some cold ones and answered questions. It was cool I hope the kids liked all of my answers.””

Stay tuned to www.Romesnowboards.com and www.twitter.com/romesds to see who’ will be taking your questions next.

ThirtyTwo Outerwear Launch Makes Noise In NYC

THIRTYTWO OUTERWEAR LAUNCH MAKES NOISE IN NYC
Since The NYPD Cut the Video Sneak Peek Short the Question Remains – Is JP Walker’s Full Part a Never Been Done?

New York, NY – The hundreds of snowboarders, retailers, media and hipsters at the ThirtyTwo Outerwear Launch Party, in the etnies Showroom in SoHo last night, won’t ever forget it!  They previewed ThirtyTwo’s first-ever outerwear collection, hung out with team riders JP Walker, Joe Sexton and Simon Chamberlain and saw a sneak peak of the ThirtyTwo and StepChild movie “This Video Sucks.” The party made such an impact that the NYPD shut it down just before JP Walker’s part was played on the sneak peek.

“People have been asking me if I filmed my entire part for “This Video Sucks” switch. Well, I am not going to confirm or deny that just yet so I guess you will have to wait and see…”  – JP Walker

Left to Right: Roof top crowd – Which ThirtyTwo Outerwear rider is on the screen?  Shot of crowd during the “This Video Sucks” sneak peek right after they got done clapping and hooting for Joe’s part.
Throughout the event DJ Soul spun old school hip hop and the event’s two bars had more than had 1,200 of Brooklyn Brewery’s finest beers.  Here is a link to check out video footy of the party:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqegp9z4jvA

It’s only July and the energy is insane behind ThirtyTwo’s outerwear collection of technical and innovative snowboarding jackets and pants with fits, fabrics and functions built for snowboarders.  The tight line of five jackets and four pants offers fits ranging from relaxed to slim and waterproofing and insulation options for any conditions.
Stay tuned to ThirtyTwo.com <http://www.thirtytwo.com/for the latest info on the brand.

Free Life Center Art Work Going On Tour

Hello friends and family,

I have been working on a new project called Free Life Center. I am so happy about this and I want to share it with everyone. I hope it will bring inspiration and happiness into your lives.

The artwork and installation will be set up in galleries across the country, as well as non-traditional natural places. We will be performing our music and curating guest performances to make every event a special occasion to touch your hearts and remember for ever.

In order to develop the project we are participating in the new “community-funding” platformkickstarter.com, which allows us to offer rad stuff for your pledge of support, which in turn enables us to do this project. Please take a couple of minutes to check it out:
