This weeks winner is:
dirt gap posted by username: brianl
Spring definitely comes to mind here in this photo combo submitted by brianl. Shredding in a T Shirt jumping dirt gaps between patches of melting snow, nice! Good vibe and cool combo of lifestyle and action together. Congrats brianl, send me an email when you get a chance nick.hamilton@transworld.net
Honorable Mention goes to this shot:
Nick Visconti slashing some sloppy lips. Photo: Jorik Blom
For Jorik Blom’s shot of Nick Visconti he used a remote flash from the side to really light up the rider and make him POP. Shooting middle of the day can be tough lighting wise with dark shadows. With no flash Nick would have been heavily shadowed. Check the spray off the tail, probably all landed on the flash (that’s happened to me many times!). With the shirt in the hand definitely has a spring vibe, great shot Jorik.
Here’s a gallery of some of the other sweet shots entered in this weeks contest, check it. Thanks everyone for taking part. We’ll be back soon with some new Photo Contests on TWSNOW.com

the action in the winning photo is pretty lacking.

I hate living in the midwest sometimes. It’s not that we don’t get enouh snow, its that nobody out here gets how to make a good park. I have some ideas but I doubt anybody would hire me cause I’m not a skier and I don’t support Burton.

YEp totally agree with orton. defenitly could have been better.
also the honorable mention could have been way sicker if the flash is actually hitting the rider and not the board, overall kinda under exposed, and would have been better to get a lower angle. thatsss what i think.

yea thats probably why…

I agree, the action in the winning photo could be better but I think overall it had the best spring vibe.
I think the flash in the pipe pointed up at the rider’s face would have been better. Riskier for the flash, but worth it?
Tyler, I really like your pictures [#7] would you mind posting the EXIF data for it?
