I could really care less about this stuff, but I wish a big method could win instead of a gymnastics tumble.
February 4th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
a method… really? not much of a competition if everybodys just doin methods
February 4th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
a cranked method or a big slow spin with tons of style is so much better looking than some one playing spin to win.
February 4th, 2009 at 10:44 pm

Call me slow, but it took me a minute to realize that it is a HIP JUMP. It seems like this could really SHAKE THINGS UP. To an extent, straight-jumps are all the same and everyone has their tricks wired on them, but hips are another ball (or huck)game all-together.
I hope everyone kills it and stays safe.
February 5th, 2009 at 10:43 am
I’m calling, and hoping, that someone PRE-OLLIES the lip and BOARDSLIDES the spine.
February 5th, 2009 at 10:44 am
Let’s go wiig.
Eero’s the smoothest rider out. He could take this shit no prob if he stomps everything.
February 5th, 2009 at 10:57 am
i hope everyone straight up embarasses shaun tonight. a lot more creative riders in that field than him.
February 5th, 2009 at 12:03 pm
i hope there are sluts at this event
oh and craven for the win

They’re going to tow people in on a winch, that should throw in an added element, aside from the wind and the 7 degree forecast…carnage..

February 5th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
torstein fell twice you dumb shit, and falls on the in-run , then gets hung up, he only landed the 9 once, you sound like one of those people that shouldnt watch these events, cause your probably from mammoth and got a binding spons, for front boarding a ride on box,, eat shit pal
February 5th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
snowboarding isn’t some super sacred thing dude. shaun is a bit of a jack off but he has upped the ante big time.
February 6th, 2009 at 12:33 am
It looked like torsteins board was broken
February 6th, 2009 at 8:37 am
they definetly were not getting enough speed for a hip that big. It was the first year red bull has done something like this so i feel like next year they could make it better. I’m sure all the riders were frustrated with the course a little bit but they did the best they could. Hopefully its better next year

February 6th, 2009 at 11:06 am
Wish they could have gotten more speed but congrats to Shayne Pospisil… he is an awesome rider!! And yeah a BS 9 stomped is harder than a FS 9 that was not perfect. Torstein rode well but Shayne was better!Props to Scotty as well!!
