Portland, Oregon – January 9, 2009 –Grenade Gloves continues its campaign to take over the action sports industry with another strong alliance. Grenade is the official glove partner for the Winter X Games Thirteen, January 22-25, 2009 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado. The event is expected to draw more than 76,000 fans, athletes and action sports exhibitors.
“This partnership with the Winter X Games is another big score for Grenade,” says Joseph Condorelli, Grenade CEO. “We are going to keep going after these premier events because we are committed to supporting the lifestyle and events that are important to our customers.”
As a partner in Winter X 13, Grenade is getting maximum exposure. Specially designed, limited edition DK Pro X Games CC935 gloves will be featured in pre-event marketing at regional events, in gift bags given away to promote the event, Athlete Gift bags, and PR for Event Media. Gloves will also go to key on site staff and tastemakers, and will be part of giveaways at the event as well as internal product seeding. Included in the deal, Grenade and its products and athletes get promotion through the X Games Website, ESPN Action Ski and Snowboard Blog, Facebook and MySpace groups and profiles devoted to the X Games, plus various action sports blogs.
Grenade has also staked its claim on a prime piece of real estate in the X-Fest, smack in the middle of the big players like Nike and Burton. The Grenade booth will be ground zero for Grenerds, with free Grenade Army registration throughout the games. Thousands of recruits have packed the booth at other winter events for this opportunity, so they are expecting huge crowds at Winter X Games Thirteen. There will be tons of prize giveaways plus the Grenade Pro Team will be there signing autographs and meeting fans, including Danny Kass, Scotty Lago, Hana Beaman, Louie Vito, and recent Winter Dew Tour Champ Jamie Anderson.
Live coverage of the Winter X Games Thirteen will air on ESPN and ABC. The WX13 TV Schedule can be found here.

worst quality gloves. I bought two pairs, both linings pulled out, grips rubbed off and stitching came loose. Holes grew in the fingers and the lining came out looking like a trash bag. Can’t knock their marketing though, definately have done a good job growing their customer base.

I have a couple pairs of grenade mitts/gloves. them bitches work fine. i ride around 80 days a year and dem bitches lasted me two seasons. Can’t expect more than that. Stop dragging your hands and your gloves might last longer. Don’t hate because Grenade is HUGE now.

Spending money on sponsoring events while you can’t even pay your PO’s to your factories, pay your reps, pay off the lawsuits or settle up Danny’s personal debt.
Nail in the coffin.

As far as I am concerned there are two versions of grenade gloves, the original which listed Patrick Swayze as a team rider, produced low bubget high entertainment movies, made shitty gloves and didnt care, and when the sponsored a young Australian named Luke Trembath for his snowboarding. Back in the day you saw some one wearing grenades and you knew they were down. The Grenade v2.0 now includes sponsoring ultimate fighters, making subpar movies with huge budgets, sponsoring the x-games, and Still making shitty gloves!

Grenades ideas are cool and all their gloves look ill but they are just the worst quality, the gloves are held together with hopes and dreams.

Yup. And it was the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Good luck with the shoes and the MMA gear that will never leave the rack, Brian and Joe. See ya at Target and KMart!!!

Quality issues aside, grenade has completly turned into what they stood against , sponsoring MMA when they fired all thier team and jipped friends over pennies?, hiring a new sales force of skiers?,not being true to what got them there!
The core knows whats up… not grenade!
