Rail Jam and Superpipe Prelim Results
Eric Willett and Christina Curry Win Rail Jam
It was cold today. At 9 a.m. the temperature was 3 degrees with a wind chill of negative -23. And it got colder as the day wore on. Pipe prelims were first. More on that below…
When all was said and done in the pipe, attention turned to the jib jam. And that’s when the wind really kicked up the the thermostat dove. But it didn’t seem to deter the dozen and a half riders that were lapping the little course. The forty-minute jam was heated, but in the end it was the local kid Eric Willett that took top honors for the dudes and Ms. Christina Curry who won it for the women.

Teter and White win Superpipe Prelims
The Prelims were impressive. The pipe jocks were up early and handling Brecks world-class U-ditch in some seriously treacherous conditions. There were some heavy slams, but the level of riding was even heavier. And it should be one hell of competition tomorrow.
Here’s how the prelims shook out. Check back tomorrow for the final results.
