Lake Tahoe finally received a long awaited snowstorm. It was unusually dry November and early December, but this week’s snowfall picked up some slack. Sierra at Tahoe was anxiously to get the season started. They opened on Wednesday with free lift tickets. They are set to open more of the mountain on today and with the storms that are rolling toward Tahoe it shouldn’t be long before the rest of the mountain follows.

Does anyone know what the job and housing markets are like in Tahoe right now? I have a decent job in my hometown (45 mins away from Park City and 1hr from SLC) but I want to get out. A friend and I are considering making the move in the next few weeks, any advice/hints/tips would be awesome…We figure we need to try. Both of us have college degrees under our belts, he has degrees in international business and spansih and I have one in marketing.

you should make your own decision. It depends on how often you want to ride. Since both of you have degrees under your belts. I have faith in your abilities for success. It depends on how hard you work. Don’t take my word for it. However, the snow is good. I’m not sure how it is compared to other areas around the world.
