TransWorld Announces 2009 Rider’s Poll Nominees

Oceanside, Calif.–December 3, 2008–The biggest night in snowboarding is blowing it out with its last hurrah in Las Vegas! The 10th Annual TransWorld SNOWboarding Riders’ Poll Awards, presented by GORE-TEX®, will be held at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Wednesday, January 28 on the second night of the SIA trade show. This invite only event brings out top snowboarding pros to cheer on their own picks for the top spots in the sport.

he rights, scott stevens is so sick, he doesn’t film with 1 milion $ camera and doesn’t do rodeo 1260, but the triks he does are innovation straight foward!
no offense but doing 1 fotters and tail scooters arnt really tricks that deserve to be tricks by the rider of the year. props to scott stevens because he is innovative but he just cannot be compared to the others on that list

funny how things work out. not that anyone on anyone of those lists is not deserving of a nomination…. but, on the scott stevens note. he filmed for think thank, which was sponsored by snowboarder magazine. therefore transworld nominated two people from their own movie thinking people will see there names then go buy the video they are in to see them snowboard. If they put scott on they are helping snowboarder sell a video they sponsored. versus selling their own video. it sucks.. but its the way it is.

Blauvelt rips, hands down!
Heikki Sorsa and Eero Ettala are two of the most well rounded and most stylish riders today. They do it all, huge rails, powder jumps, park jumps, hips, wall rides, everything!
Give them some love with the Reader’s Choice. Eero = most under-rated snowboarder

Horgmo isn’t a rookie. that was the year before last year. The list of nominees is created by pro riders votes, THE PROS decide who should be on the list. It isn’t a list of who is “good and well-rounded.” Its about SHIT that went DOWN last season. not 2 years ago, or 5.
It’s not about who is “humble and hardworking” its about who the best riders in the world think produced the best riding. Simple. Always so many fairies crying on this site.
