Hello,
We’re stoked to announce that we signed with Mark Edlund. Not much
introduction needed for Mark with sick video parts in the finger on
the trigger flicks. Marks innovative riding and style fits the
snowboards so well that a lot of good things will come from this i the
near future !
Here’s what Mark had to say after the first few days riding our
Bataleon Triple Base boards !
“The boards are sooo sick! they ride even better than they seem, for
real no bullshit. duude shit feels like it has soo much pop! you can
carve up steeper more rough trannies because the contact points dig in
all hard, it feels like you can kinda cruise up whatever all buttery.
also its been really icy here (utah icy that is) because it rained for
like 2 seconds and hasnt snowed since, riding icy shit on the boards i
feel confident that i can hold my edge, and that im not gonna hook an
edge at all on a super uneven hard surface, so that part is good, also
tbt makes for some more buttery shuffles! i like how you dont have to
necessarily be on an edge and you kind jus point where ya want it to
go. seems like there you dont have to muscle things as much, at first
i was scared to ollie as hard as i could and did know what to expect
to happen with that baseshape! ahha. well as you can see i am more than pleased! YEAH4IT !”

Too bad there are about a two dozen ‘bird loc’s who are more talented and less connected. Such is life I guess.
Um, yeah, right… Don’t get me wrong, there are def some talented shreds at the Bird, but don’t hate on Lung. If you ever get the chance to actually ride with him you will see the light… that fool’s got more style than you and ten of your friends.
No hate at all, I’ve ripped chips plenty of times with the kid, and ripped the porch a few too. crazy style for sure. just saying, talent pool’s deep, makes me wonder how he does it.

Bradshaw is ill no doubt, but he has never even had a shuffle in his part. You cant talk shit on someone who had like 3 full vid parts and a few half ones…. Hate all you want, but he just looks at snowboarding differently which u gotta respect. 2000 and HATE to all you tricks.

Mark Edlund is amazing, through and through, it bums me out to see him on the same team as wack ass Nick Visconti. He was rad two years ago before he tried way to hard to be a gypsy, another snowboarder that looks like he’s rollerblading. Whatever, it’s rad, let him do his think.
Edlund, get paid while you can man. Tell me if you feel like you’re riding a really loose pair of indys next time you start going fast on some hardpack. When is comes time for that quick heelside turn, no wheel bite, just a good ol’ frontside slipout courtesy of TBT.
loose indys are the shit! pretty much favorite thing ever. i dont think pro snowboarders slip out on their heelside edge cruising the resort, maybe on some ice tryin to rally a gnar turn. but i also read TBT is better on ice too, less catchy feeling son, and sounds rad to be able to go straight and not be on edge……i dunno i think im down with the sounds of loose independent trucks……thanks for lettin me know.

No hating on Mark!! Lung is a good dude, a good shred 4 sure and am stoked that he is hooked up again. However if you are talking about the best Bird local that gets no respect it is Tyler Anderson. Any terrain there is Tyler destroys it regardless of a camera on him or not!
You know what! Edlung is just doing what we all wanna do….he snowboards whenever he wants and gets paid for it! What better job could you have then to get paid to have fun! So much respect to you Edlung. And for Bataleon…they are helping keep this industry on its feet by making snow riding machines, so as long as they are putting money into this industry and helping to keep the dream alive I’m stoked on em! Much respect to you too Bataleon, and i hope you guys do well this season.

Bird locs…….Zach Watkins and Jon Kennington are the two of best unknowns in UT. Whatever….UT is thick with talent.
