dam, Benedek is still far better than everyone else. so gifted and seems so smart, too many riders like shaun white in snowboarding today, doing the same tricks as everyone else, technically really well but kind of boring none the less. It’s good to see Benedek can still find ways to innovate for sure.

That was very sick. It looks like he throws the cork a little after he throws the rotation, looks so sick. That SW BS 12 looked effortless, props on crazy tricks executed with smooth style.

yeah mad props for bringing back afterlame music. my favorite video. In my opinion david benedek is the most progressive rider snowboarding has ever seen. Next in line would be eero ettala. As for shaun white. He can spin straight up and down fast. I’ve never seen him throw a cork besides a mctwist. he’s really good. But not like this.

First, there is no such thing as the best snowboarder in the world. Their are riders who are better at certain aspects of riding. For example, “Real” snowboarding, Big mountain Jones is easily the best, with Muller right behind him.
But come on ,Shaun White, lol the kid sold out a while ago, dropping Volcom , so he could make his own clothing line at Target, WOW, he’s soo cool. And im not hating because thats what skiers do. I just think, Rice, Benny, Horgmo, E man, any of the euro dudes in actionhorsefilms.com , are at another level when it comes to progression and most importantly having fun . cause thats what snowboarding is,
As for those not being rodeos, he dips his shoulder, thus rodeo, and i think Transworld and David would know.

Sorry but this doesn t look like a rodeo to me. No way i could call it a rodeo… Probably more like an “unusual off axis spin”(?) that kicks it more likely with his soldiers and his body and less with his legs. You can even see that from the way he takes off the kicker. I like it and i m not saying that the trick sux or Benedek either but this isn t a rodeo for me.
A good example for bs rodeo trick is Travis Rice i would say.

Sorry TWS and Benedek, No way this is a backside rodeo. He takes off on his toe edge for both tricks. I would call it switch backside corkscrew or late- corkscrew like Jason Murphy was doing back in the day. Check out the Kingpin videos. Benedek drops his leading shoulder, a backside rodeo is when the rider takes off of his heels and rotates backside over his trailing shoulder. David Scaffidi is the only person I’ve seen do a textbook Backside Rodeo 900 and that was in 2002 at the ESPN Freeride Big Air in Tahoe.
