Have you people seen The White Album? Shaun gaps to rails from huge booters that most of you chronic complainers couldn’t even dream of hitting. The reason Shaun White does the same tricks over and over is so that he can be consistent which is what judges are going to look for. Have any of you ever been to a major competition where the format is best 2 out of 3 runs? 98% of the riders can’t manage to string one decent run together let alone 2. Shaun wins contests,gets sponsors and money and will live comfortably for the rest of his life. Anyone dissing any pro rider for “selling-out” needs to get their head checked. You gotta pay the bills somehow being as Mommy and Daddy won’t be there forever kids. Stop living in a pipe dream.

dam, Benedek is still far better than everyone else. so gifted and seems so smart, too many riders like shaun white in snowboarding today, doing the same tricks as everyone else, technically really well but kind of boring none the less. It’s good to see Benedek can still find ways to innovate for sure.

That was very sick. It looks like he throws the cork a little after he throws the rotation, looks so sick. That SW BS 12 looked effortless, props on crazy tricks executed with smooth style.

I don’t think there was a rodeo in this video. I think its a switch cork BS 9 and a switch cork BS 12. To do a rodeo you need to leave the jump from your heals not your toes. Travis Rice and that Euro guy I forget his last name can do BS rodeo 10s.

It was definitely a rodeo. I don’t think there’s some kind of rule that says you have to do them from your heels. Rodeo 7 and higher look more like corks (except you lean the other way) but they’re still rodeos.

That definitely was not a rodeo. That’s not a put down, that’s just fact.
its hard to see but it was definitely a back rodeo. watch it in slow motion. u dont have to leave off ur heels. on a sw backside cork his right shoulder would throw down and his head would look down to the left. on this sw backside rodeo his front shoulder stays more level and his head looks over his left(back) shoulder. thats what makes it a back rodeo. pause it at 39 sec and u will see what i mean
If you want to get technical it’s neither a back rodeo or a cork. What he’s doing is a doing a flat switch backside 180 then throwing into a late chicane. What’s a chicane you ask? Well it’s a trick that was popular in about 2000-2001. Kevin Jones used to have a good chicane. If you don’t know who that is you should learn a little more about snowboarding.
those don’t look anything like bs rodeos. he does textbook bs rodeo 9s in lame. rodeos involve backflips and hes flipping/corking frontflip/forwards. dan is right about the chicane variation, but i think they almost look like bs double corks. at least benedeks version of them.
God damn. Give the man some time i’m sure he’ll be banging them out legit like in now time. I’m sure the first rodeo didn’t look like a rodeo.
