My flight left San Diego two days ago heading to SASS(South American Snow Session) snowboard camp, 48 hours of travel later I made it to Bariloche, Argentina. 2 planes, 10 hours of layover and a 18 hour bus ride, mellow right?

Honestly, the travel was mellow. The bros at SASS set up campers in this rad rock band style, 2 decker tour bus which all the seat recline into beds. They play sweet movies, serve food, juice, and bad boy sodas for the of age campers.
It was super cool, when my bus got into Bariloche(1pm), I was swooped up and taken directly to the resort(Cerro Cathedral) to hit that steep and deep! It had been snowing the 5 days prior to my arrival, the sun was out and none wanted to miss a turn.

This camp is insane, its nothing like the normal North American snowboard camps. You come down here and ride real pow, real cliffs and real pow jumps. Right now this session I’m at has about 40 campers and every single one of them are so hyped they cant sit still.

I almost forgot, if you are a meat lover like Andrew Burns this is the place to be. Pretty much you can get anything here with ham and cheese on it, pretty sweet… For more info about everything check out www.sasnowsessions.com

I was there for 4 days this July after a two day dump, it was epic! The travel there is gnarly from Bariloche to Cerro Castor was 4 buses, 1 wheel falling off a bus, 20 hrs total layovers and 58 hr trip to the end of the world….Book a plane ticket and do it!

YES! I just got back from 5 weeks at SASS. Honestly the best summer camp out there hands down. Its an incredible and fun experience can’t wait for next year.

hell yea sass is dope! nothing competes with it. There is nothing like it. That storm he was talking about, when I left it had about 7 feet i think. you won’t find anything like sass and its worth it. go down there you will love it. and plus the staff is the sh*t

Yup, when I left there was about 7 feet. Ripping through the bamboo forrests with Travis Moore. SASS is a sickening experience. The staff rules, and Ashley is a nasty photog, always gets the shots. Los entrenadors Canadian son grosos todos. Mismo con Mauri, Garrett, y Michelle.

Forgot to give Denmark props on the pow shot. Ripping style holmes.

I wanna see pictures of randall stacy buried in an avalanche his pelvis crushed. That’s the real deal. Some how I don’t think that is good ol’ randall with that positive comment above…

This brings back some great memories! Was in Bariloche from Aug 5 to 9 and it snowed like crazy for three of those days. Bariloche was my first time to snowboard in powder and now I understand why people like it. I’m spolied and can never fully enjoy snowboarding in the Northeast
