Hawaiian Snowboard Contest Held

A snowboard contest was held last Sun. 12.16.01 on Mauna Kea. There a pretty good turn out, with probably 40 to 50 boarders including both men and women.

It was a perfect day, not too cold and not too hot. The sun was out most of the day. The guys from High Tech on Maui put the contest on. They donated a lot of the prizes.

Part of the plan was if you made it to the bottom of the hill, you got a free Mauna Kea competitor T-shirt. A guy from Big Island Surf donated prizes. Forrest Murphy won the big air contest.
