On Thursday October 4th, Burton and Grateful Dead Productions teamed up to unveil their new collaboration snowboard, the Easy Livin’, at the Burton flagship store in Los Angeles. When Burton throws a party, they don’t mess around. GDP’s archivist David Lemieux was there, as was Burton rider Danny Davis. Danny was pretty crucial in getting these graphics put on this board, since this is the board that he rides.
The Burton store was decorated to the T with Grateful Dead memorabilia and artifacts. Burton also gave everyone that walked through the door a free Dead t-shirt, and CD. This party was tight. Since it was Grateful Dead themed they had a ton of munchies including grilled cheese sandwiches, oreos, candy, marshmallows, pretty much any type of snack you want to eat when you’re stoned. They also had free booze, and you know what free booze attracts, hot chicks. Just check out the photos to get a better sense of the evening.
If you ever hear of a party that Burton’s throwing, just go. It will be fun. We promise.
