We learned a lot from having a base camp tent in Deeper, and when offered, couldn't refuse a Russian-designed portable hut to use as our eating and warming tent. It even came with a rough wooden door frame, alongside which one of the flare guns hung within easy reach of camp.

Svalbard is one of the most remote places on earth. It’s located north of mainland Europe, midway between mainland Norway and the North Pole. There’s more polar bears than humans that live there. So when Jeremy Jones, and Terje Haakonsen decided to take a trip there, we just had to document it.
