Here are the top selections from the final Your Turn Photo Contest of the year. We themed this one Industrial Revolution.
Winnipeg based gypsy mobster Jesse Walker kept doing these sick fast-plants until he heard me yelling from below to pull out the big guns and viola, stomped this one-footer first try, with a sketchy 8 foot drop landing. And did I mention it was cold as sh*t, we're talking typical minus forty, good ol' sunny days on the prairies. PHOTO: Bruce Allen
The entries selected showcase the most interesting and diverse industrial environments. As a photographer you have to be ready for anything and capture the moment before any unexpected interruptions might occur. Shooting away from the resort adds to a photographer’s list of challenges. Then there are times when you’ll get harassed by security or the bitter bystander. But it is important to select your location carefully as it can make or break a photo.
It came together well for Cole Martin, because his photo of Brendon Rego rose to the top, and won the “Industrial Revolution” contest!
It’s been fun reviewing the entries. Now that we know the winner of the “Industrial Revolution” we will let you know next week who the overall winner is. That lucky photographer will get the opportunity to go to High Cascade’s Photo Workshop this summer!!!
The final images that will be considered for the overall winner are featured in the gallery below. Let us know your favorite.
Congratulations Cole! Please email me with your address asap, firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll get your new Burton Photo Pack and Celtek photographer glove.
Thanks to all the photographers who submitted. Keep shooting lots! We look forward to seeing more of your photography!
