After a season of covering US contests leading up to the Olympics, I had a the urge to photograph somewhere new. I needed to reset my inspiration button and find a creative photo adventure to embark on. When I found out that X Games was to debut in France, I figured this was my chance. It would be my first time to Europe, not including Scandinavia, so I was pretty new to how things work over there. With a bit of emailing amongst the Euro X rider list and a few other friends, I had set an itinerary to ease the visit to unfamiliar territories. I would arrive in Geneva, Switzerland and link up with the Homies Crew in Portes du Soleil, then head over to Tignes, France to cover the Euro X Games, and freestyle the rest of the trip. The photo gallery below is what happened.

If you get a chance to shred Switzerland, you definitely need to hit up Les Croset.
And when in France, Tignes andĀ Avoriaz will both offer more freeriding than you can handle.
As I said, BIG PROPS to the Homies Crew! Check out their movies and web updates here: HomiesGrounds.com
“Merci Beaucoup” to the riders, Nico Droz, Kevin Prusse, and Ivan Zwahlen!!!
