What’s good in Tahoe? Alpine suggests hitting the slopes early to get some corn on the south faces in the morning. There are also a couple of jump lines spread around the mountain. It might get a little sticky in the afternoon, so move on to north facing terrain … or to the local skatepark. Tickets are only $25 for area passholders, they’re $44 otherwise.

The Kingvale park is open—the ropetown is spinning, and there’s even a big Triple Down Crown planned. Get it for 22 bucks eleven miles from Truckee.

Freeriding
Over three-quarters of the terrain is still open including the East Wall and Montezuma Bowl. The web cams look downright wintery, but still plan on a post shred beach barbeque. The resort should be open through May and tickets will set you back $54.

Last Call
With a 122-inch base, this weekend is it for Meadows. Lifts open at 9:00 a.m. for shredding from Buttercup, Mt. Hood Express, and Cascade Express lifts (weather permitting). They’re reporting that the Superpipe is fresh cut and that the Shipyard Park and Rose City Slopestyle Park are open. Cascade Park will only be open if the Cascade Lift is running.

Freeriding
The lifts are still running at Snowbird on Fridays and weekends through Memorial Day. Check the website often to see what terrain is open—The Tram, Little Cloud, and Mineral Basin Express are all running this weekend. An adult all-day pass is $62.
Blackcomb, B.C., Canada
Shred
Access to Blackcomb Mountain is via the Excalibur Gondola which is open daily from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. through May 24, 2010. The halfpipe and and mini pipe are both open, look for some small features to open up by the pipe, too. Adult tickets are $55 (CAN).
