Shaun White busted out an insane new trick at the final Grand Prix practice under the lights at Park City tonight—a double McTwist 1260. He says, he booked it straight to Park City after the Mammoth Grand Prix and, reminiscent of last winter when he innovated several double corks in the pipe, he fixated on this new goal. He says pretty much everything came together, the sun came out, the pipe was perfect, and, ” I just looped it a couple times and it just landed itself basically.” He put down five more in a row right after that and then busted it out for everyone to see tonight. He says the trick to the trick is that, “you’ve gotta know right at that right moment to pull back after the first McTwist.” Got it?

Here's a little trick to help out for all the people debating how many rotations. When a rider is spining in the pipe just pay attention to the tip of the board that reaches the lip first. then count how many times it makes it back and points towards the lip of the pipe and count em up (shauns is definitly a 12)! Hopefully this makes sence and helps out, especially on all the multiple flipping/spinning tricks.

So what happens when he starts hitting rails and god forbid starts killing it, then rails will be the ghey and it will be "he has no style he needs learn to ride backcountry". Stop the hating and just go ride dude and let him live. A bunch of people are talking about what snowboarding is about now and what is used to be about back in the day, I'm fairly certain it was never about hating on someone who has no bearing on your life or your riding.
People don't like Transworld hugging his nuts then find another mag to follow or better yet, start your own. Clearly we've got some experts on this forum that know about the 4 or 5 guys who did this trick first, know about all the better snowboard companies(better because they're not Burton of course), and various other aspects of the snowboard world totally unrelated to just going out and enjoying a good friggin' time with your friends. So take the time you're dedicating to hating on White, not riding, and put it towards informing the uneducated masses (who actually care) of all the "core" snowboard knowledge you have stored away.

I've met Shaun on multiple occasions and he has always been awesome. If he went out of his way to talk to everyone of his fans at Park City then he wouldn't be able to concentrate, there is a time and place for everything, why should he break focus while practicing to meet a disgruntle asshole like yourself.

He is awesome and he's one of the nicest, coolest kids I've ever seen. What does sell-out mean? I remember when I lived in Boulder, we had a blast at Brack every weekend. It always seemed that the kids who knew how to hit the half-pipe, loved boarding and loved people were the cool ones. They also were the ones that often got labeled as "sell outs".
