BURLINGTON, VT. (December 4, 2009) — After much anticipation, Burton unveils today the US Snowboard Team Uniforms for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics. This February, as the US Snowboard Team steps onto the World’s stage in Vancouver, they will look and feel unmatched with designs that speak to both individuality and heritage, key hallmarks of the Burton brand and the snowboard culture. Building on their long-standing relationship with Gore, Burton has enhanced their own unique designs with the Gore-Tex® brand.

The Olympic uniforms feature a fresh and progressive style while also managing to pay tribute to more classic Americana fashion staples. The pants seamlessly integrate the look of real, worn, vintage denim, and the jackets feature preppy plaids adorned with leather patches and chenille crests with both pieces incorporating the performance benefits of Gore-Tex fabric. All product development at Burton is rider driven and this Olympic outerwear is no exception. Burton held a roundtable discussion with top pro-snowboarders and Olympic hopefuls Elena Hight, Mason Aguirre, Danny Davis, Kevin Pearce, Jack Mitrani, Luke Mitrani, Steve Fisher, Scotty Lago, and Louie Vito to review design concepts for the outerwear before arriving at the final creation.

The partnership with the Gore-Tex brand, the official fabric of the 2010 U.S. Snowboarding Team’s Olympic outerwear, further enhances the technical designs, enabling riders to compete in a variety of cold weather conditions. Olympic uniform looked awesome, I liked the broken in look of the pants, very American. Screamed LEVI'S jeans to me. I love plaid, so I was digging the jackets too. All you haters, get some style in ya or wear what you dig.

Those uniforms are fresh, and you people that say Burton has gone corporate are just haters because you aren't sponsored by a corporate company. Burton has never been some grass roots, low budget, low profit company you idiots. Burton is the giant of the snowboarding world, and to say they are being sell outs is ridiculous, in fact by keeping the uniform unique they are trying to do as much of the opposite as possible. The Olympics are watched all over the world whether you watch them or not, and I give Burton credit for being smart enough to advertise their product on the back of Shaun White in front of the world while he completely destroys every other competitor in half pipe. And on top of all this, this uniform is fresh, all of Burton's merch. is super fresh, just look at the uniforms from 2006, ALSO made by Burton.

At best I'm ambivalent about the jacket. The pants look horrible! All of the other countries' uniforms are contemporary, sporty, and attractive. Our uniform is embarrassing and the pants surely impede free movement. By trying so hard to be "cool" they missed the mark entirely.
I think they’re dope… and I dig the jeans… but I’ve always been a fan of ripped jeans over faggy 80’s pants.
I think it looks totallly awesome. especially on the girls .. i saw the OL snowboard halfpipe.. and i loved that uniform so much :).. way better than all the others.. maybe except for the french one :).. im really considering buying the jacket sicne i think it looks kinda cool :D..
I can't believe the first few comments 11 weeks ago. These uniforms are soooo sick! I am searching google trying to find where i can buy them. People are writing on yahoo answers that they may not be sold and everyone was pissed! I want mine this season, right now! Soooo badass!

Geez, I was stunned to watch the Freestyle skiers wearing what appears to be Pajamas (for a 2 yr old), so I wanted to find a photo to really see if they actually had footies on them, but stumbled across this site, instead. Cripes, this is just ridiculous! Who in the hell decides these things? First the Jammies, now the white trash K-Mart special? Way to go Olympics! I thought the medals were the biggest embarrassment of this whole mess, but at least Canada had to take the blame for that, but this is on us. Geez …

I wrote Burton to see if they were going to market the uniform and they said NO.
Our ski/snowboard shop have just placed our limited order for these pants. We are taking pre orders for when they arrive in October. If anyone is interested in ordering a pair, let us know.
