cause 1620s are gay dude. I understand its bound to happen due to the natural progression of the sport. But thats ridiculous. Thats more acrobaticss, theres no style in it. stylee 7s or 9s are much cooler in my opinion, and a whole lot more people think the same thing. Thats why he isnt getting much coverage. I believe his video is on twsnow by the way and hes got a whole lot of "haters" commenting on it. Spin to win sucks bring back style

yo burnside, you're making your boy ulrich look bad by hating on chas for sure. second, i just watched that shot: not only did he grab nose-mute, he didn't grab til after 360 and let go 540 early. so 900 degrees of not grabbing. on a 60 footer. 1620-900=720, what he should have done.

you guys hate but last time i checked 12s are becoming a pretty stock trick for most riders especially when there in the top percent of pro riders.. dont hate on Chas cus hes got the life you wished you had…just shut your fuckin mouth and let your riding do the talkin and maybe transworld might wanna interview you about it but until then we dont wanna hear it!! It doesn't matter if they're becoming stock tricks or not, thats just progression its bound to happen. We are just saying a big slow steezy seven looks so much better than any one doing a 12, with the exception of mikkel bangs…he can do it with style given how fast the spin is. And it pipe! i know im not the only one who 9 times outta 10 would prefer to see DK throw one of his big clean backside 5's off his toe side wall than see shaun white or any one else do that double cork 2450 shit, Shauns 1440 (? 1260? dont remember) at the end of his run last year looked terrible..(may have been two years ago?). Dont hate on Ulrik or chas, Ulrik kills it and chas has gotta make a living, and since judges dont factor in style, 12's are whats gonna win it for him.

But at the same time if I was RICH I would care allot less because I could buy whatever board I wanted and ride whatever mountain I pleased. And if Superpark was built for everyone I wouldn't care at all. Because the only thing left for a Pro would be the FAme……………..I dont give a shit about that.
Snowboarding is awesome. It's the outside pressures that get us all bitter and hating on people cause we want what they got.

It takes a long time to get recongnized in snowboarding, i agree in some cases its who you know… but in this economy its a lot less of that. You have to be consistantly killing it for a long time to earn respect. Chas has been on top for like 4 years and hes still a DC AM… just because someone does one sick trick doesnt mean they are going to be all over the internet as the next big thing… ulrick needs to have good contest results and solid video parts… then he will get his recognition…

funny, chas has made his riches in snowboarding… he wasnt rich to start… even poor kids go to mountain schools. they go cuz they are good at snowboarding. and in most cases they meet people and progress and become pro and start to get press. people who dont know what they are talking about should not speak. there are cases when mediocre pros get more press than they deserve but they may have done things in the past to warrant the respect and media they are getting. lots of kids who arent good enough to be pro KNOW the right people but they arent on covers of magazines. its not all who you know….

as a competative rider i can say judges do care about style… but they also care about technical ability… everyone is trying to balance both. if you guys competed you'd see that, but no i guess you're all in some big movie somewhere that i just haven't seen.

Kim Rune Hansen has switch bs 12 on lock
Andreas Wiig has the same trick, so does Mikkel and Torstein.
Ulrik has bs 1260, and he actually landed bs 1440 in 2007, before Chaz did!!
(I was there and saw it with my own eyes)
Gjermund Braaten has bs 12 as well.
