It seems like the lack of mountains in the middle of country are made up for by the gnarly street riders that come out of MN and other nearby states. What would you say was the hardest for you to adapt to the big mountains of the west and what mountain do you find best suits your style?

One of my best friends that I ride with nearly ever day of season idolizes you. He idolizes you so much that he stopped wearing gloves a long time ago and has seriously lost 3 fingers to frost bite. different areas as we all know have different vibes and influence our riding in different ways. when im in salt lake i tend to stay by myself and focus, which works out great. when im in tahoe i kill it with all my friends and dont worry about anything, which tends to or out even better. so i guess my question is; wheres the mountain where you feel at home and just able to have the best time and not worry about anything?

I’m from PA. the winters here are short and sometimes without one snowfall. this season was one of the shortest cause of the heat we get in the spring.

snowboarders didn’t really figure out they could sew in their pants til about that technine video. kooley, hebbel, etc. all rode baggy pants etc.
i mean think about it, what “tight pants” riders existed before sexton/kooley/hebbel did it. nima wore jeans a little before, but if you wanted to be warmer in pants, you had to work with what companies made. theres no early 90’s footage of people in tight pants.
all snowboard pants were baggy til the last 3/4 years or so.
it seems like they didn’t just change for the hell of it, or trends, but just because everyone figured out it was even possible.

Hey Joe!! I just bought the jibstick and everytime I look at it I get reminded of sour skittles. I’ve had some pretty bad injuries in the past couple years from snowboarding. I’m always a little timid when I first come back, but the hardest thing to do is stay away from riding long enough to get heeled up. Hey joe i remember you going to spirit mountain and you used to be all about sporting brands and showing off… being cocky and looking at snowboarding as more of a job. what made you change? did you realize you could only do rails and see that lucas magoon has way better style than you and would take all your prize winnings? so you play it off like you snowboard for yourself?
