  • werdle Says:

what are the down sides to constantly living a life on the road, filming a video part, and what are some valuable lessons that you have learned from traveling to film a video part that go beyond just your snowboarding?

  • adam Says:

    fruit loops or chereos? Hmmm?

  • stylenazi Says:

hi seth. my question is how much time (daily, weekly, seaonally)do you actually spend thinking about snowboarding (spots, tricks, dangers) and how has your enthusiasm changed over the years? i am from Santa Cruz, but live in AK, and still get hyped on your happyhour part

  • Jim Says:

Hey Seth! You are super sick man! Which of your video parts are you most stoked on? And then in filming, do you ever get discouraged if things are not going well?

  • tucker Says:

you did your interview for the game Amped 2 (I’m an avid player), were you paying attention to any traffic signals at all, because i’m pretty sure you ran at least 4 red lights.

  • Greg Says:

Yo seth.. do you skate? It seems like a lot of pro snowboarders love skateboarding.. Do you think it helps your snowboarding, or is it just something to keep busy with during the summer? It just seems weird.. I’ve never really been able to get into skating, I’d rather go longboarding or wakeboarding.

  • wishiniwasfishin Says:

    are robots coming back?

  • christian Says:

your nose and tail presses are so sick!!!! how do ya do it so good? was there like an exercise that you did or something?

have you ever ate a poutine when you’ve been to canada? if so, do you pronounce it “pout-in” or “pout-een”? cheers bra.

  • ryan rose Says:

hey seth! i love your steez man, now speaking of which, i live in utah, and im sure you’ve noticed the tight pant baggy pant war going on. Through the whole thing it seems as though the “older” riders like you jeremy, and jp have just stuck with the “snowboarder” look. so my question for you is have the new trends of baggy or tight affected sponsorships for you at all? such as, has volcom or any other company for that matter ever approached you and said “look seth your a great shredder but your image doesnt sell well with the kids these days…we would like you to sew your pants tighter to sell more product”? lots of people fail to see that being a sponsered shredder is actually a sales job, companies want you to show off product so their sales go up! so again the question is, has a company ever told/asked you to change your image to apeal to a different group of shreds?
    thanks for your time man!

  • oregon Says:

Have you ever tried riding in tight pants or are you just not a scenester?

  • Brandon Says:

so man, wat direction do u think the snowboard industry is heading. Is it becoming a money making market with big companies (won’t name names, like the big check mark) coming in with no real idea of what its all about and taking over. Or do u think that there are enough people supporting local shops and brands and keeping it real. Compared to skating, r we doing as good a job, better, or worse at keeping what matters alive.

  • silver lining Says:

Hey Seth, I’m a long time Bear Mountain rider, and it seems like there is a lot of hate for Bear by people who have never had the life changing experience of riding that park. I am sure you have been there to de-virginize many pros. Which pro showed the most hate before, and most stoke after?

  • DJH Says:

so how basically living life as a professional changed you(if at all)? infuluences, friends, riding style, have the pro’s you travel with today had more of an impact then the people at home?, tricks, food, basically how has everything effected your views and now your lifestyle?

  • DJH Says:

also what would be your most crazy and messed up story from traveling all over the world, like what can you look back at and would make anyone laugh no matter what? whether it be with familly other shredders or like just sum random crazy dude chillin by a rail ur shreddin?

  • Drake Says:

In 30 years when people are talking about the old time pros, what would you ideally want to come to mind when people say your name?

  • SamJ Says:

Seth wadup, being a pro snowboarder is your career so your obviously working hard a lot, getting the video part etc. How much time do you get to spend just chilling, taking laps of the park or whatever? • tommey Says:

It seems that in snowboarding nobody really talks about money but seriously how much money did you make last season and do you think in general pro snowboard should earn more money?

  • Buffalo Soldier Says:

Hey Seth, If you only had one more day to shred for the rest of your life, Who would you ride with and where would it be?

  • Nick Theoret Says:

Seth, how often do you get to ride with your homies like JP and Jeremy? both boarding and moto?

  • Tyler Hogg Says:

  • Tank Says:

Seth, I saw you were riding the simon chamberlain promodel in DD. Were you thinking about hooking up with them like JP did or were you just riding it in the transition between board sponsors? Also, what would you recommend as the best street rail board on the market today?

  • Freddy Says:

Seth. You’ve had a great career in the snowboarding industry. How did you get started? And what did it take to get your first sponsor?? Looking back, would you have done anything different? Like more contests and less filming?

  • East Says:

Seth! dude i have to know, was being a professional snowboarder and influencing thousands of kids from all over always what you wanted to do? Was this lifestyle the one you pictured when you first stepped on your board? Hola Seth! what’s up! So tell me one trick that you have landed and gave you the most satisfaction in your carrer.

  • dave Says:

  • snakebite Says:

seth, how has, or hasn’t, snowboarding changed for you since you were growing up just cruising with friends, without the major sponsorship obligations? Do you reminisce about when you were a weekend warrior or has your career been as fulfilling as every other up and coming shred hopes it would be? Keep pushing it!

  • Kris Says:

Seth, what kind of future snowboard projects are planning or want to plan for the future? What new video projects and who would you want to film/ride with (favorites or new)?

  • Kris Says:

Seth, What are some new tricks you would like to learn/land on film and plan to land (sneak peak on progress)?? In the near future, Do you plan to do more backcountry bangers, big mountain AK lines, or urban features? Love ur style, amazing 7s,9s, & sick rail work!

  • Rob Says:

hey seth, I’m sure you’ve had your fair share of injuries throughout the years, especially hitting gnarley shit while filming, so here’s my question: where do you find the motivation to come back and step it up again, maybe even go back to the same trick/jib/cliff/etc…?

  • MILKIN IT Says:

  • HFD Says:

what’s it feel like being over shadowed by jp and jeremy when you’re just as good?

  • Justin Says:

    Hahahaha! Oh my…

  • seth Says:

the reason you’re not interested in skateboarding is that you’re probably gay, which explains why you like wakeboarding. here’s some advice, sell your snowboard and buy some snollerblades.

  • young money Says:

favorite place to get a good burrito?

  • ben farmer Says:

    that game is fucking amazing.

  • ben farmer Says:

  • Danno Says:

working w/mack dawg must have been a memorable part of your life, what was your best moment filming with the legendary man himself and who will you film with from now on.

  • oregon Says:

wakeboarding is for rich ass people, or people that are friends with rich ass people. plus wakeboarding is super easy. you can pull on the rope in midair to readjust yourself. so many gay things about wakeboarding……only one person can go at a time, gas money, boat$$$$$$$$, soft landings, rich kids, early rising for smooth water. lame!

  • PeterADD Says:

What is the proper way to say your last name?

  • oregon Says:

When you get as old as Jeremy Jones, are you going to file for social security?

  • LOKDOWn Says:

hey seth, when you were a shredder as a kid did you ever think that snowboarding was gonna be your life, and at one point did you start getting noticed in snowboarding?

  • Sam Watson Says:

Does snowboarding while listening to music make a difference in your riding?

  • Stag Says:

. Where in the world has had your favorite herb? mumba ganja

  • Gunnar Says:

Why did you start riding and what keep you going even on the days that just seem like the end of the world

  • ben farmer Says:

hey seth do you like wakeboarding?

  • Jeffs Says:

Seth man, you hit some pretty gnarly terrain in your video parts and some of it must get pretty scary, especially when you bail and keep going back for the shot. How do you get motivated to hit some crazy stuff and what keeps you coming back to get the trick when you keep getting wrecked on a feature?

  • oregon Says:

Hahahahaha. A good wakeboard boat is 25 grand and up. Thats snowboarding for 25 years for me. So nope, snowboarding isn’t for rich ass people. $300 seasons pass for 2 resorts, $300 dollar a month rent on the mountain, beer, weed and food = cheap. Have fun looking like a dancer, spinning that rope around yourself like that. No style. And do you call everybody fags cause you sit on fat sacks in the back of boats. Do the rich kids pay you to sit on their fat sacks.

  • stevey grainger Says:

oregon is right. wakeboarding is too easy. the rope is a joke. you can stay balanced while jibbin with the rope, instead of just lining yourself up straight from the start. i bet you have a nice tan though. hahahahahah fat sacks. have fun sittin on fat sacks while we be smoking em’.

  • ilovetoride Says:

Hey man, i was in the states for a six week shred trip for my first time in January and after a week of snowboarding i got fucked up and had to go home, i had to spend all the money that i had saved the previous year for the trip on the surgery. And now i’m missing out on the southern hemisphere season because of my injury. What do you think is a good way to balance school, work and snowboarding? Also how come in some of the shots in “Picture This” your riding a stepchild Simon Pro?

  • Scott Says:

Seth, was having a career in snowboarding the type of career you had in mind since you were young? If so, when did you have this realization? If not, how did you get involved in this type of career, and what did you want to become if snowboarding didn’t work out?

  • me Says:

Hahahahaha!!! I would buy the issue if you answer that question.

  • me Says:

Funniest shit on twsnow. hands down.

  • hell Says:

    I’m still playing it

  • simon Says:

hey seth, here’s a question that’ll be hard to answer in public, but still…
Have you ever felt like you were living in a bubble? Like some weird dream where you live from something that doesn’t really make sense to you. Do you see a sense in the professional occupation “snowboarder”, like, a deeper meaning? Do you feel fulfilled by what you do? I’m not trying to say you’re superficial, but do you feel as if you were sometimes?
I know this is a tough one to answer because a simple no will make you sound pretty self-important and admitting something that everybody feels at a certain point in his life might include admitting that you’re not living that dream that your sponsor companies are trying to sell to the kids and masses.
I’m asking this because over the years I’ve talked to some people and after a while it felt to me as if there were two basic kinds of pro snowboarder that you could reduce everybody to:
there are the ones who basically just didn’t give a fuck. about life, other people, nature, whatever. And then there’s the other kind, who are really deep and conscious characters, who doubt themselves just as much as anybody else. who think outside their own little microcosm and try to find the things that matter.
where do you fit in? you’re not a big talker, you’re underrated as hell, people just don’t know much about you. i guess that’s why i’m so interested. have a nice day! simon

  • hurley Says:

What’s up Seth, first off, I have to say your part in MDP’s “Picture This” was so sick. I was wondering what your most ideal snow session would be?

  • yeah right Says:

    seth,
love your style and attitude. Can you tell me what your biggest turning point in your snowboard career has been. Also how would you like to go out? Quit, or milk it?

  • THe big Ralph Says:

How did you come to be so rad?

  • spencermandude Says:

hey man, who do you think would win in a fight out of a giraffe and a dolphin. and i know what your thinking, “hey, aren’t dolphins water-dwelling creatures?” yes. they are. but still.

  • Matt Warburton Says:

    thanks

  • Knick Says:

Seth, if you had to name one pivotal moment in your life that got you where you are today, what would it be? (besides the 1st time you snowboarded, obviously)

  • WTF Says:

Were you sadder to hear about Michael Jackson or Farrah Fawcett dying?

  • Old Man Says:

Have you ever thought about doing a video part where you just butter around? That would be cool. Maybe just butter around and spin on flatground. Or throw in a couple of weak-ass nollies off some little bumps.

  • Pointless Says:

What was the hairyest thing you ever did that didn’t make it into your video part (not including the crash reel). Did you ever line up for something and then puss out?

  • vanessajoak Says:

First of all, I heard that you have a son so congratulations on your boy!
With that out of the way, my questions are:

How has having a child changed your lifestyle as a professional snowboarder and what has been the hardest adjustment?

Do you plan on raising some sort of rail slaying gnar kill protege and subsequently taking over the world?

What advice can you give a 21 year old girl in Anchorage, Alaska to help her break into the snowboarding scene?
AND if said girl were to be saving money to go on an epic shred adventure in the lower 48(or another country), where/when in your opinion would be THE best resort/mountain to visit?(i.e: wheres your ideal place to ride?)

    THANKS!
