If you could ride anywhere in the world, where would you go? Snowmass halfpipe on a good day, or Mt. Baker on a powder day.
Favorite Terrain: Halfpipe, freeriding when possible
First Time: Buttermilk. I fell on my head so many times, and ran in to stuff, but kept laughing and loved it.
Is snowboarding ready for the Olympics? There are so many conflicts about it within the industry, but I think it’s creating a lot of opportunity, other avenues for snowboarders.
If you didn’t snowboard what would you be doing right now? surf, snowboard, a little school here and there, lots of strength training, reading. Adventuring with friends and family. Oh yeah, and chasing boys.
What do you do when you’re not snowboarding? Going to college and trying to travel the world.
Who most influences your style? Tina Basich, Michele Taggart and Shannon Dunn have always inspired me, Nicola Thost too. Daniel Franck, Ross Powers. People who are creative in their riding, and who go fast and go big.
Who do you ride with the most? I ride a lot with Griselda Gonzales, Jen Sherwoski, Trycia Byrnes. I like riding with Andrew Hicks, Tina Dixon, Zach Horowitz, and friends in Washington and Colorado.
If you were going on a trip and could only take five things with you (other than a change of clothes and your snowboard) what would those things be? My journal, camera, my go-go boots, the book “Zen and the Art of Archery” and my phone book.
